I small suggestion from someone who has gone through Ukrainian "Orange Revolution" in 2004. If (or, rather when) you'll be making events for Hungary 1956, instead of "official" version :
Perhaps you should rather make it this way :
This way it would both be more realistic and more "Coldwarrish" (when the events are more determined by the actions of the USA and the USSR).

Well, I still think you should include my suggestions. I know someone who served in GRU in 1968 and participated in Prague events + I have eye-witnessed Orange revolution in Ukraine in 2004, so I have some knowledge on how democratic revolutions work. The rest looks fine.

Well, if you want my opinoin - that serves no purpose. The US and other market agencies are always working around the world trying to stage favorable revolutions wherever possible. Inserting a special event for "how about hungary?" would be meaningless IMHO.
The same would apply for Soviet Union - would you give the Soviets events for trying to stage revolutions around the world? What about unsuccessful revolutions? There must have been millions of those.
After all, that's what "intelligence" tab of HOI2
D is meant for anyway.Your service in GRU doesn't add weight to your argument. And Pargue was a completely different case anyway - it was not a "revolution" at all, it was an attempt by the acting socialist government to liberalize the state further than the Politburo thought of as acceptable.
Heck knows. The command looks fine. Check the logs - did the second event trigger at all? By the way, instead of flagging the first event and triggering second one separately, why don't you just make the first event trigger the second? The date is practically the same anyway.
If the event triggered, then the something must be wrong with the ids. Check for errors in the minister files both manually and perhaps using the HOI2 editor as well (although be careful with that one)

Well, the idea is to make Cold War decision driven, so the course of events is to be determined by the players, rather then by history books. At some point, of course.
Those worth mentioning in a mod - a few dozens at most, with Hungary and Czechoslovakia being the prime examples. Of course, the rest could be determined by making default coup chance higher or something along those lines + a few "if government in Somalia is communist, let's befriend/crush them" events.
I didn't service anywhere, I just know people, who participated in the Czech events. And, as far as I was told, it wasn't simply about liberalization (not to mention that a puppet governments would go against USSR simply because it might sound as a good idea ).

Would US ever seriously refuse West Germany from entering NATO? That would be very very strange decision. Moreover, if that happens the whole entire subsequent storyline of the Cold War mod will have to be completely reworked.
For US, refusing to encorporate West Germany into NATO and ending its mastery over West Germany would be another way of saying "we don't want to fight the Cold War - we will let Soviets do whatever they feel like". In that case the whole point of Cold War mod will be sort of lost.
Also, please rename DFR to FRG.

Unfortunately, this is not possible. The HOI2 intelligence tab is not powerful enough to emulate the Cold War developments, and scripting events to make up for all possible developments and their outcomes is also out of the question - this would require millions of events, literally, no exagerration. You have to remember that we are limited by the capabilities of the HOI2 engine.
