If that's what you want, why not just sticky/ask for a sticky? You can unsticky a thread when it's time is past, and it'll slink down to whatever its rightful place is.

ROFL. Very true indeed. The sticky list is like that closet in your house where you put all your important stuff "for later" but never bother opening again. ;)

stickies are too...sticky, dinosaurs were 'teared down' too, so people instinctively keep away from them.

So, what you are saying is that stickies were a mistake in the evolutionary chain of the beast called the forum board. :D
