Chapter 20: The Giant In China
September 13th 1943
After the fall of Germany Japan and her empire in Asia was alone against both The Allied Forces as well the Soviet Union. Soviet armies had advanced trough Mongolia and trough the plains of Manchuria to Korea.
As the Soviet armies advanced further south Manchukuo was forced to surrender to the Soviet armies.
Soon the tanks of Soviet Union reached the Beijing and continued on to Baoding. With the lead of Field Marshall Nikolay Juvanovich.
November 1st 1943
In Indochina the British were struggling against Japanese armies but when the Soviet Union attacked China-Nanjing the Japanese were forced to transfer troops to the protection of the north allowing the British to start minor offense.
In Ireland the Socialist party gained the favor of the people in the elections and soon Ireland was added to the Commintern.
December 2nd 1943
Russian armies reached the outskirts of Shanghai and soon the remaining Japanese occupants were driven back to the sea.
Before Christmas whole of Korean Peninsula was in Russian hands and only small force remained in Jeju.
Realizing that the Soviets could be the first to defeat China, the British tried to send spies in the Soviet Union but most of them were captured as soon as they entered the Soviet lands-
Just after Christmas eve the Soviet engineers managed to build an new prototype of an Air carrier.
Field Marshall Stainovich was also brought in China to lead the Soviet Tank divisions.
February 5th 1944
The Soviet Nuclear physicists developed a way to use nuclear based weapons.
In February the Japanese invaded Pearl Harbor defeating the US Naval forces stationed there.
May 3rd 1944
When the spring arrived the Soviet armies had reached the gates of Portuguese Macao and the end of China was getting near.
Soon the Japanese realized that the Chinese couldn't hold off the advancing Russians on their own and several Japanese divisions were send to China.
In May the Chinese government accepted the offer of Russians and surrendered-
The Japanese were cut off in Haiphong surrounded by the British in the south and Russians in the North.
Soon after that China had surrendered the US Marines landed in Okinawa.
