Hey there, bit of a problem with the AAR 1914 scenario I think, it refuses to load properly, brings up an abort/retry/ignore box (it will work if I click ignore, but as Britain I couldn't open my tech teams..) I'm running it with DH 1.03

The debug file is as follows:

Reading distances from map\map_1\airdist.tbl... Done! (2769 provinces read in 192 ms)

Setting Mode.
Mode Set.
Setting Mode.
Mode Set.
Reading map\map_1\navaldist2.tbl... Done! (1486 naval provinces, Read distances = 2208196)

ERROR : Database Mismatch (type = 7 / id 3049001 ) already used!


Scenario Validation (provinces)...Done. No errors found.

China doesn't seem to react at all to either the 13 or 21 Demands when I'm playing as Japan - they just don't get an event and nothing happens even after several months; though most of the time they form Imperial China.

(Still using the stable version for DH 1.02, and DH 1.02.)

I've got the same problem, but the difference is that when I try to load up the AAR 1914 scenario it just doesnt work at all, and an abort/retry/ignore box pops up saying 'Couldn't open file:scenarios\1914\china republic.inc'

If I click any of the three abort/retry ignore buttons, my 1914 aar scenario just doesnt start and the game crashes. What do I do?

Ok, not sure if this is a major issue or anything, but there is no event to get Hitler as Chancellor. Which means that WW2 never happens and the Weimar republic never ends.

Hey, thank you for this code it is a massive help. I love playing AAR but can't get WW2 to begin because Hitler never came into power. I have been playing a new game (latest 1.03) with this code, and Hitler successfully became 'Head of State' in 1933, but Hindenburg never dies, so Germany remains a Social Liberal state, with Hitler in power, and none of the subsequent events fire.

Is there a code fix for this (I'm sorry I am a technophobe and don't know any coding)? And if so, would it work with my save game, or would I have to start from the very beginning again?

In addition, the Italy events are fine, but when Mussolini declares war on Abyssinia, Italy has barely any infantry, and only 2 units placed in Asmara, so of course they get wiped out, and Italy subsequently remains in perpetual warfare with Abyssinia, though it doesn't try to re-invade via amphibious assault, nor does it seem to build any ground units.

I have a great save game with Greece and would love to keep it going somehow, after spending so many hours on it! Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks again everybody!
 
I have been playing around with my save game trying to make Nazis come to power. I took over Germany at start of depression and a 'Test Fix' launched that made Hitler Head of State, but not Head of Government. Besides leaving L of N, no other event fires afterwards, and if I use the 'freedom' cheat to make Germany National Socialist, Hitler disappears as Head of State and cannot be re-chosen. Additionally, ever since I took over Germany and despite having left the League of Nations, Germany can only build transport aircraft! Must be a bug, and they had already built 5 by the time I took charge in 1929.

Any other tips on how I could make post-Hitler assumes power in 1933 events fire? I have never actually played a proper AAR where WW2 actually happens, despite having played so many times, and would really like to try it out.
 
Sorry to bother again, but can anybody confirm/deny if there is a working version of AAR that allows for WW2 to actually occur? As I have mentioned in the previous 2 posts, I have copied & pasted the event for Hitler to come into power in 1933, but none of the other events subsequently fire. Is there anything I can do/edit to achieve this?

Is there a fix for this yet? or can you at least point me in the right direction for this event to fix my self?

Never mind, found it in the 1914_AI folder, was usa reinforcement tag, changed to 3049099 and fixed, also changed it in the used event ids file. So change it in the Used Events IDs file and AI_USA_1914 file to 3049099 and no problems

Just wanted to let every one know Burning gave me permission earlier today to make changes and fixes to AAR for use in the Grand Campaign mod, I will be uploading those to the AAR home page and will be releasing the first patch for beta by the weekend. These changes will be made fully compatible to the vanilla AAR. These include changes to make sure events fire 100% properly. If you are having issues with the game let me know on here as I will be monitoring both this thread and the TGC thread and will post links as I go. Thank you burning for this chance to revive this mod and make DH and AAR a mainstay of gaming once more!!!
