I actually have to agree with the first poster; I've been a part of this forum since it first started last Fall and it seems to me that things go in cycles around here: There is an initial burst of activity and information which subsides after a week or two to be replaced with stony silence from the developers. Forum users become irritated and begin to clamor for more info, however as they do they are told to keep quiet by other members who keep preaching 'patience'. After a while, sometimes a month or two, information begins to flow again, only to repeat this process over and over again.

When I first came here this forum was pretty busy and there was a great deal of buzz and excitement about the project; this subsided after prospective due date after due date passed with no game in sight.

Now, I am not saying that this project is moving forward; but I am saying that it is doing so at an agonizingly slow pace and that the lack of information coming from Snowball/Paradox both now and in the past in increadibly frustrating to prospective buyers of this game.

If you believe that I'm wrong, I ask you to simply ask how many posts appear on this board each day compared to the VIC board(You could rightfully claim that it is this way due to the near release of Victory, but if you did a little digging I think you'd find that it has been this way since the creation of the Vic board and not a new occurance)

Pretty much what I'm saying is that I'm hooked; I'll buy this game one way or another but I do believe that the Developer is treating us in a very unfair manner by continuing their current course.

I don't know but at Snowball they discuss dynasty's traits and sergie is appearing there pretty often.

But comparison of Vicky and CK is a bit flawed - i mean Vicky is out in a week and CK is under development - of course, Vicky's fora will face up more visitors...:p

It is rubbish. Snowball is very famous in Russia localising firm . They also have some own released projects. Some of them are good, some are average quality. Snoball work slowly, it is true. This is because they work on many projects at this time.

You are wrong. CK moves forward/ Snowball developers simply don't visit paradox forums(may be because of such ugly mood here) They work with people on their own russian forum.

Ah, but as I pointed out in my post; the Vic forum gaining more users is not a new phneomenom but has historically been the trend since that game was first around. There for you can't claim that they are gaining more people JUST because the game is about to be released; they have been gaining more people for the past six months.

I never claimed that the game isn't moving forward; just that we are being kept in the dark and, as this is happening, it is adversly effecting this forum and the pre-release fanbase. The ugly mood, as you call it, is stemming from the stonewall we fans of the game are running into as well as our frustration as to the low usage of this form. If Snowball chooses not to post on here, that is their choice, but Paradox(which is running the beta) has always historically been very good to its fans which is why this silence is not only shocking, but a bit disalarming as well.

I agree that this game was messed up from the start with slow development and broken promises, but with release supposedly only a few months away, not much is being done to make up for it...:(

Vic forum gained more users when it was first announced because we had already given up hope on CK by that time ;) Remember, CK was announced along with HOI.

That must have been an evil plan of Johan and Patric - they must have got 2 copies already and now playing it reading the fora through and smiling at our complaints:) :D

Oh no! The discussion group isn't flooded with information about a game in development! It must be a bad game! I only buy games where the developers give out a constant flow of information all the time!

Guys, take a collective valium or something ;) So there's not a lot of info from Paradox on the CK board recently. So what? The game's moving along, albeit slower than us fans would like. Add to that that Victoria and other games are much closer to release, so they seem to be getting the lion's share of time and energy.

Let's not forget that these boards are pretty much fluff and chrome and are a luxury and if enjoyment of the game is tied so much to what goes on here, well, something's rotten in the state of Denmark and the Denmark referred to ain't Paradox ;)

No Paradox is in Sweden. :D

I am sure Paradox will pay its full attention to CK when Victoria is patched and all that.

People, come on... the betatesting has started about one month ago, when the final works for Vicky were still being done!

What is one month compared to (roughly) half a year? ;)

I'm sure that soon info on the game development will be provided by those above. Victoria is gold, by the way, and we can be sure that now CK is the main project, correct? So...

:)
