Hello All... I am just wondering if Zoroastrianism will be included as a religion in the areas of Persia and the East. I have been waiting for a game to include Zoroastrianism and this time frame looks to be right for its inclusion.
You sir are a gentleman and a scholar. This has certainly made my day. I have waited for the day a video game contains Zoroastrianism and I am happy. I just made my pre-order of Rome CE just a few minutes ago. Cannot wait for April.Tambourmajor said:Look at the bottom of this picture:

That too, is also very true. I really enjoy the religious aspects of the Paradox games and its great to see there is a wide variety of them in this.Olaus Petrus said:Nice. Considering the importance of Persia and Zoroastrianism it would have been surprising to not see it in the game, when smaller religions like Judaism are also included.
There are other games that contain Zoroastrianism, just to let your know.citybug said:You sir are a gentleman and a scholar. This has certainly made my day. Can you name one or two? I seem to keep myself up with lots of strategy games, and I don't seem to recall much.comagoosie said:There are other games that contain Zoroastrianism, just to let your know.
This brings up a good point. How many religions are going to be represented in EU: R? I am assuming around 5, that I can think of off the top of my head.
RTW BI? EU rome?citybug said:Can you name one or two? I seem to keep myself up with lots of strategy games, and I don't seem to recall much.

possibly in VIP, but not in vanillaSwamp Rat said:What about Victoria? I havent played Persia in that game, but it seems like there should be pops who have zoroastrianism as their religion in that area.

That is really improbable. Zoroastrianism had its decline start with the fall of the Sassanid Empire in 651AD. After the Muslims took their hold of Persia, Zoroastrians were forbidden to convert (Which is highly unlikely, as it is a religion that one has to be born into - Conservative Zoroastrianism viewpoint) but many groups had converted to Islam. Thus began the decline. I hope that they expand Rome to the Dark Ages or create an EU dedicated on the Dark Ages so I can one day play as the Sassanid Empire, the highest accomplishment of the Persians.Swamp Rat said:What about Victoria?
