Zooming in combat

Zooming in and out in combat takes dozens and dozens of mouse wheel turns to get in, then repeat to get back out.
The keyboard shortcuts Z and X to zoom in and out also take dozens of clicks.

Zooming in/out on campaign map works normally.

Is there a setting, perhaps in an INI file that can fix combat zoom behavior?
I tried setting mouse scroll setting to 100 lines per click, doesn't help in combat.

The keybindings say that there is a Reset Zoom key, but it doesn't appear to work.
Also, that only solves half the issue.

speaking of zooming, has anyone else had trouble moving flyers/targeting stuff near flyers?

Hey there ... I agree ... zooming in and out in the battle/tactics phase is so sloooow .. Im worried my hero will die of old age waiting for me to finish scrolling!

Please have a look at this when time permits
