Hi, just bought the game and very impressed with the exception of the zooming and panning. I'm used to using CAD packages which zoom and pan so much more efficiently. Anyway I don't want to moan on my first post so here's a really simple suggestion, it's possibly already a feature but I can't find it:

Instead of zooming in based on the current centre of the screen, simply zoom centred on where the cursor is.

Obviously the rest of the zoom feature stays as is, i.e. pressing the z key or the middle mouse scroll wheel. You'll be amazed at how much better the zooming is with just this simple a change.

I've used this in AutoCAD and you almost don't need to pan at all, just zoom out move the cursor and zoom in on another area. Edge scrolling will almost be a thing of the past as well.

Apologies if I've overlooked something, I've only been playing it for an hour or so, but I have noticed quite a few people complaining about the navigation of the game.

Cheers,

Alan
