Shouldn't this post be in another thread?

Zeppelin Bombings had little effect as far as actual destruction is considered. however, they somehow disorganized the British industry, though not that much, and they had a huge Psychological effect (we're still talking about them now). They were primarily a terror weapon. Imagine the effect of seeing a Fleet of several Zeppelins flying over your head.
The British used large amounts of resources to build anti Zeppelin defenses. This included several squadrons withdrawn from the front, lines of anti air batteries and searchlights.

Hmm, sound like HOI V1 rockets. And just as useful.

I can see a lot of uses.

Scouting since they not only extend range but can stay up longer than aircraft.
Bombing, what they lack in precision they make up in ordinance dropped.
Aircraft carrier, pilots preferred them since it was just either being dropped for takeoff or snagging a trapeze for landing.
Possibly troop transport, but I'm not sure of the cargo capacity back then.

If planes need airstrips then zepplins will be able to deliver them to places they couldn't go normally.

I would be content if they just used Led Zeppelin in Victoria's soundtrack.

"Paradox Heaven"

"There's a game that I'll seek, when it surely goes gold,
and I'm buying a Paradox Heaven...
When I get there I know, if the stores are all closed,
with an email I can get what I came for..."

"Woe oh oh oh oh oh,
and I'm buying a Paradox Heaven..."

"There's a sign in the store, but I want to be sure,
cuz you know sometimes their stocks run out early...
In a mall by my home, there's a saleman who rings,
but directions I get are misleading..."

"Woe oh oh oh oh oh,
and I'm buying a Paradox Heaven..."

"There's a feeling I get, when I sit down to rest,
and my best friend is crying for leaving...
In my thoughts I have seen, only pixels not trees,
and I stop just to stand there looking..."

Woe oh oh oh oh oh,
and I'm buying a Paradox Heaven..."

"And its whispered that soon, if I pay him by noon,
that my old games will be out of season...
And I'll roll on the lawn, as I've waited so long,
and my study will echo with laughter..."

"And it makes me wonder..."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, that's all I'm willing to write at the moment, if anyone wants to pick up from there feel free.

However the US navy's Experiment with Zeppelin aircraft carrier in the early 1930's was not that succesful as both airships crashed in bad weather during peace time routine missions.

Later the US used smaller airship for ASW until the advent of nuclear submarines made the obsolete.

They were intended to scout the fleets and provide aircover to the battle line. The germans also used their Naval Zeppelins as scouts for their fleet in the North Sea and in the Baltic.
