to put simply I think they should be influenced by faith level like theoretic vassals.

Zealous should care how faithful a man is and love someone who is deemed an idol of the faith, but should hate sinners. Double the love for the people with virtues and hatred for the sins of their faith.

Cynical wouldn't care as much if you broke religious laws or have sinful traits... halving the penalty for some of the crimes ( excluding murder) and ignoring the sins for why should they care.

As it is right now you don't deal with allot of religious people. except your realm priest or the one to 2 vassals you own making gaining piety almost worthless. this would allow piety to hold a bigger impacts and make a few more Ai more willing to stab a man who dare sin. This in turn also making cynical less likely to care what laws exist.
