When you play Yugoslavia and Puppet everyone and take their units, there Expeditionary Units, but when you unite again, they're still expeditionary units, you can delete them, but they just transfer them to whoever that doesn't exist anymore and they just sit in your country, a simple fix would be that the units become under Yugoslavian control... this isnt game breaking or anything, just annoying, hope this is seen by someone who can do something about it

You want a fix for exploiting your puppets?
I don't know enough about expeditionary units..
What is the down side to keeping them under your control?
Who's man power do they use?

Edit: what happens to the units if they were under puppet control when you reunite?

Yugoslavia has a lot of problems since the update. Have you noticed that the factories in the divided territory get removed when you split Yugoslavia?
Not to mention the elephant in the room - this whole logic of split the country for a while then reunite it and all problems are solved makes 0 logic.
From an average nation it has become unplayable.
The old focus tree was above average. The new focus tree is worse than the default one unless you go communist.
The only thing I like about the new focus is that Croatia no longer becomes a puppet on the evolution path/historical game. Everything else, worse than it was.

I made a topic with suggestions for Romania and Yugolsavia since 1.10.1 came out. If you're interested, check it out:
The devs have already noticed the topic, so fingers crossed.

Hmm, so 3 folks disagree with my questions, strange.
My thought was that if it works like annex thru autonomy then deleting the expedition forces the day before reuniting would be a work around.
All the units and templets become yours.

Edit: lol, 5 now... I can only assume you guys disagree that I don't know enough about expeditionary units.
To disagree with a question is nonsense.

Bandwagon effect. They disagree because the problem is the expeditionary units are supposed to become Yugoslav units, since all of Yugoslavia's puppets become part of Yugoslavia now.

Since we are talking about Yugoslav bugs in 1.10.1 update, I think this one takes the cake:
You can get cores on regions with no Yugoslavs simply because the designer forgot about a chain effect in his design.

The problem with expeditionary forces being orphaned when you annex the originally sending puppet is not limited to Yugoslavia; it's been around since the ability to annex puppets was added. (TfV?)

Thanks for that, I was unaware of the history of problems.
So my work around idea is null by giving back control of the expedition forces before reuniting?
Do they remain in a limbo state?

Edit: I also missed the sarcasm in the topic

Your solution of giving back the expeditionary forces is the current workaround.

I don't think so, if everything goes perfectly, the new tree will give you seeds all over Southeast Europe. From Prague to Istanbul. With a core population of 85,000,000. Whereby I have to admit that 2 other nations have to take certain non-historical focuses.

It's a general problem when integrating puppets - not Yougoslavia specific. They key is to release the force (by "deleting" them - which doesn't delete them, it just returns them to puppet) 1 minute before integrating your puppet.

Do you find it historically plausible to gain a core population of 85,000,000 with Yugoslavia?

Unless I'm using mods, I would like an authentic World War II experience even when going alternative history. Communist Japan? okay. Communist USA? okay. Fascist Russia? okay. Unlikely, but okay.

But don't add in the game literally impossible scenarios. It breaks immersion. There's a fine difference between historically alternative and historically impossible. Alternative history, however unrealistic it may be, has to diverge from real history at some point.
- Yugoslavia can get 85.000.000 population core.
- Yugoslavia can get core on all of Transylvania and other regions that had no Yugoslavs to being with. How realistic is that? How much sense does it make?
- Yugoslavia can get core on all of Transylvania and other regions on the democratic pro-West path. Again, how realistic is that? How much sense does it make?
What they did to Yugoslavia is more far fetched than forming the Roman Empire or Bulgarian Empire. It's just cringe.

White the old focus tree had a cool focus that gave you +25% political power, because Yugoslavia desperately needs political power. And kept things realistic.

The only thing I disliked about the old Yugoslav focus tree was puppet Croatia, which could be avoided if you were a player, but the AI always made it.
