Just checked on steam db, and there are 10 players online playing atm. Could be intern testing but from the user grah it is unlikly.https://steamdb.info/app/394360/graphs/
So my hope is that the youtubers got their keys and we will see content as soon as paradox allows them to publish it.

I've got a Vive but it makes me sick when I use it. I'm ridiculously prone to travel sickness, not sure what I was thinking when I bought it. VR is just so amazing.

Probably not on 18 but im sure they would have them on a few to tweak the circumstances of each game but more than likely youtube codes would be given out around now

Not really that weird.

-They set a release date. And obviously they want the most polished version they can deliver at that date, hence a day one patch.
-They also want reviews to come out on day one. So they allow reporters/youtubers access a little earlier, even if it means a little less finish in that version.

Does that mean that the current build is likely playable enough that they could release it for everyone? Probably. But then they would have had to give early access 10 days ago, to an even earlier build.

You can search some of the YouTubers on Steam (most have their names as steam account and settings not on private) and will see that none of them has or plays the game.

But you can search for nicknames of Paradox employees as well and look in their friends list. There are quite a few people playing Hearts of Iron 4 right now (and some are just "In game" but it doesn't tell which one), so I'd assume they simply gave the launch version out internally.

Funny to see their play counts as well. d9al played 195,4 hours in the last two weeks, and obidobi played 293,6 hours in the last two weeks. Thats what I call passion.

Could be, however Arumba mentioned (in his 200k AMAA) when Stallarais was given to Youtubers it was hundreds of keys and he expected it to be the same for HOI4.
