As US / UK I would probably try to advance faster than in real life and keep Germany and Czechia out of the Commie Zone.

Establish the Confederation of South American Principalities...or CSAP and rule from the Falklands to Panama. Then perhaps go nuts and side against the USA, expand my dominion into Central America and greet 1948 with Great War style trench warfare raging back and forth between Mexico City and San Antonio with the threat of atomic war on the horizon...
I imagine elsewhere in the world the Axis would do much better because America will be distracted...

As Britain, my ultimate goal will be a European continent free of Axis or Comintern presence. Secondary goals will be the defeat of Japan and an avoidance of the humiliation at Singapore. If I'm going to achieve this without bleeding Britain white, that means I need to defeat Germany quickly, and then confront the Soviets while they're still weak.

In HoI2 I had a game with Finland extending from Finland (obviously) all the way to Indochina. I will try that again if I have a way of playing later than 1948.

Seriously though, if you refer to the various states in ex-USSR territory, most of them are just RKs or puppets of Germany, so eh, who cares. They're not that bad anyway.
Someone should make a "mini game" where you can paint your war goals on a map op Europe/the world and show them to others in threads like these.
In my first playthrough I will most likely play as Germany, annex poland and bohemia and then attempt to convert as many countries to fascism as possible!
EDIT: im not actually sure I can convert countries to a different ideology, even through conquest... I might have to make them puppet states instead?

Germany that extends from France to the Urals. I will just puppet Hungary, Romania, Slavakia, Spain, and Portugal. Italy WILL take the med (this includes Turkey). I will leave the nordic countries alone besides Denmark. I will probably just puppet the UK; I don't want to garrision it. The US will probably be my puppet also.
If Manchukuo ever becomes a thing again, I will restore the mandate of heaven, eat Japan (but invite Hirohito for tea), and sit on my comfy throne in the forbidden palace again, and maybe a restored monarchy in china.
