What race will you be playing as? Forgive me if this has been discussed or you think it's too early to talk about such topic, but let your imagination run wild for now since we lack much information.

You can add your own of course:
1. What race?
2. Ethics and personalities of your race?
3. Type of government structure/ideology?
4. Federated or not federated?
5. Religious or not religious?

8. Ship design? (Sleek? Roundish? To show an example of how your ships to look like, post a picture)
9. FTL of your choice?

Me.
1. Human (First game)
2. Xenophobic, isolationist, highly militaristic, Industrial.
3. Perhaps a dictatorship. Monarchy would be okay, but limited democracy would be nice too.
4. Least likely to be federated. (Xenophobia)
5. Religious.
6. Engineering.
7. Ballistics. Favoring missiles and good old high caliber cannons.
8. It will look very squarish with parts that look very familiar to us as humans. This isn't how I want it to look, but it's general outline of it.
eve_ships_by_nymain-d38i5c4.png

9. Perhaps lanes or warp. I haven't decided on this yet.

1. Human.
2. [2 Individualist, 1 Xenophilia] - Friendly Economics and Trade.
3. TBD. - Gov't.
4. Federated. An Alliance (Coalition) can be good gameplay.
5. TBD. - Religion.
6. 50% Societal. (for my people, development) 30% Engineering. (for overall capability) 20% Physics. (for a better, Newton's Laws of Motion advancement).
7. TBD. - Weapons.
8. TBD. - Ship Design.
9. Wormholes. because they're like reusable drives, as buildings. and, even with the cost of them, there's the advantage of hub(s).

0. The Wot Collectiv

1. The Wots.
A race of small agile mamals that love tinkering and exploring. The individual wot might seem a bit stupid and unfocused, but lucky and pron to amazing flash of insights. This is in fact because all wots are subconsciously in mental contact with each other. You made to much food to eat? Well then there is a good chance a hungry wot will accidently show up at your door. Tinkering with a tough problem? Well while your working with it consciously your subconscious will try and drawn upon the memories of other wots to solve the problem.

2. A point in freedom, a point in xenophile and a point in pacifisme.
Despite their collective subconscious wots are extremly individual and mobile. A wot almost always does what a wot find fun or want to do. That said wots often collaborate in small groups as they love working with others. These group tend to either be short lived, very fluid or both.
Because of their collective subconsciousness one wots harming another wots is almost like harming itself. War, conflict or even random fist fights are totally unknown to the wots.

3. Anarkisme is in theory, but practical some wots tend to gravitate towards working with bigger projects that have affects the entire wots collection making it in practice some form of technocracy.

4. Federated.
The wots love working with others, though others sometimes find it hard to work with the wots.

5. Spiritual
Wots feel like there is a deeper connection betwen them all. . . Because there is ^_^

6. Wots don't focus.

7. Carriers. With each fighter being an individual project made by a team of wots constantly trying to improve and making it better.

8. Ship design depends a lot on the wots that build it, but they will properly end up looking very artsy.

9. Warpgates. Instant travel, while still being a part of the wots collective.

1. No name yet. Mammalian. Descended from carnivorous primates.
2. Collectivist, militaristic, extreme expansionist.

The highest good is expansion of the race. Worlds are populated to the brim, often to the point of urbanization of nearly the entire surface. Cities reach many levels below ground and high into the sky. Orbital platforms are home to many millions who maintain and build the fleets. As such, almost no natural births occur. It is a point of pride that females have been freed of this task. Females that refuse have their reproductive organs removed are considered highly selfish, and arrogant.

The military is lead by the Warlord and Emperor of the entire Empire. It is seen as having a holy duty to both keep the empire safe and prepare new worlds for colonization. Rather than exterminate other races they seek to overthrow their governments, religions and other social structures so that the people may flourish under proper civilized rule.

Everything is steeped in tradition. The Empire dates back many thousands of years. The title of Warlord was given to the chief of a number of large warrior tribes. The faith of many of these tribes forms the basis of the Imperial Cult. Warlords cannot rule without support of their soldiers. Soldiers are considered brothers due to the harsh conditions they lived in forcing cooperation. New births are celebrated since they mean new soldiers, or new mothers to birth new soldiers. The priesthood of this religion formed the first standing army of the tribe that would one day unite the Empire. All religions were destroyed, their holy books sealed away for thousands of years only to be reopened for academic purposes, by official historians. Since establishment of the Empire, the priesthood has been separated from the military to a degree, but they are still highly important. The priesthood sees the education of the people, perform the initiation ceremonies upon adulthood, bless official actions, control/motivate populations, follow soldiers into battle, and drag their mangled asses back to the surgery centers.

Scientists live outside tradition in their own communities and worlds. These are places where usual "ethical and moral" considerations do not apply. They are tolerated because the Empire requires technological progress to stay ahead of threats, and also to support the prolonging of individual lives. Preservation of life is 2nd to creation of new life. A high priest is appointed to each scientific community to search for signs of rebellion, and that no knowledge is being withheld.

The common people don't mind much what the military/government and imperial cult do since they aren't affected much. Everything is provided by the government. People work a minimum required amount at government approved jobs. There is no difference between wartime, and peacetime economy. The Imperial Cult is the only tolerated religion. Atheism is commonplace, and well tolerated. Priests are seen as a bit fanatical.

3. Military dictatorship.

Government is lead by the Emperor. The emperor is considered governor of the home world and system governor of the home star. The Emperor is also supreme warlord of the military. The Emperor is selected by the imperial cult from the royal family's young children who have grown up in the central palace, being taught by observation of the old Emperor. The strongest child must gain support of the military to become the new Emperor.

Clusters of stars are watched over by admirals. Larger groupings are overseen by higher ranked admirals. The empire as a whole answers to the high military council of the home star system. Of course this council answers to the Emperor. Individuals world are ruled by elected governors (a non military rank). Star systems elect one of the governors to be in charge of the entire system, including non-planetary bases, and colonies not large enough to warrant a governor. Only the Emperor and High Council can make laws, system and world governments only see to the administration, and implementation of laws. Admirals are responsible for defense and sometimes enforcement of laws.

Economy is command economy of course. Citizens receive everything they need, in return work a minimum amount each day. Each world must provide recruits and material for the military. Usually tribute is in the form of fully crewed star ships.

4. Non-federated. Other races are seen as children needing to be educated. A races is worth is measured by it's likeness to the Empires race. Every effort will be taken to assimilate conquered races. A race that proves equal will be given complete citizenship rights and no longer considered a distinct species. A race that can not or will not assimilate will be destroyed.

5. Only one religion is tolerated, atheism is tolerated and commonplace.

6. Prolonging life, terraforming, weaponry.

7. Missiles. Laser for point defense.

8. Like a star destroyer but without the exposed command decks, that make it hilariously easy to incapacitate, and painted black to be hard to see against space background.

1. Nau'lisks
-A race of Nautilus Muscoulids. They stand upright very much like a humonoid but have evolved a semi-hard shell over the back of their bodies and head. Their face is dominated by several small tentacles while they have two large grasping tentacles and several more for arms and feet. They are a primarily water-living race but have developed technology to live on water and land. In th eater they can expel water to propel themselves rapidly.
2. Collectivists +2, Pacifists. They believe very strongly in the collective will and needs of society. That the individual can be a danger to themselves and all of society so any descisions must be made based on the democratic level.
3. Moral Democracy, headed by Quroum they vote on collective action.

The Svedgard developed on the world of Praxis IV, a world dominated by a single massive continent on in the western hemisphere and a series of smaller island continents in the eastern hemisphere. The Svedgarad originally developed as a small coastal civilization on the continent of Svedgarad's icey northern shore. They developed a strong ethos of conquest, a strong collective desire to make the entire continent (now called Svedgard) under their domination. They marched south and conquered the Rabian peoples in the Equilaterial jungle and the southern desert. Followed by the Gyptian people to the southwest, ending their independence with the conquest of their Antarctic colony of Giza. The Svedgardians also went into conflict with Zeteca and Painiards of the Eastern Continents when they attempted to settle in the eastern shore of Svedgarad. Despite their conquests the Svedgarads were extremely accepting of the Rabians and Gyptians, incorporating their cultures. With all of Svedgarad conquered the Svedgardians quickly became the premier power of Praxis IV. It was through sheer distance that kept the civilizations of the Eastern Continent from facing the militarized might of the Svedgard.

The Svedgard were beginning to explore the solar system just as from beyond an alien threat emerged-the barbaric Koruk. The greenskined abominations had destroyed their own planet and now the surviving dregs of their race looked to Praxis IV and the extermination of all humans. The War of Survival was a short but brutal conflict as all civilizations on Praxis fought, but in the end the Koruk were exterminated and the Svedgard emerged as the strongest surviving civilization. The Hegemony, an alliance of military officers had seized control during the war and divided Svedgard into military districts. Fairly quickly they did the same to the Eastern Continents, the surviving people having no choice. Taking the technology of the Koruk's FTL ships the Svedgard stand poised to enter the galaxy at large.
2. +2 Militarized, +1 Spiritual. The Svedgard society revolves around the military. They also have a strong sense in manifest destiny, first in control of their continent, then the planet and now the stars.
3. Military Ogliarchy, their society is mostly run by the military. Despite this there is a surprising level of meritocracy involved between the Military districts with the soldiers electing their own commanders.
4. Non Federated- They would not turn their fleets over to the command of others!
5. Spiritual.'Manifest Destiny is their belief in right of conquest.
6. Research will be based on military technology.
7. Mostly Rail Cannons.
8. Ship design? (Sleek? Roundish? To show an example of how your ships to look like, post a picture) Heavy ships with large armored prows that put on in the mind of a warhammer.
9. FTL of your choice? Hyperlane[/COLOR]

1. Tersans
2. Fanatical individualists, militarists
3. Military republic
4. Depends.
5. Some are religius, some are not. Religion and state is not and should not be the same.
6. Military and civic research. Teorical research is useless and a waste of resources, something that the government shoulnd't spend their minerals and energy at. But freelance scientists are allowed to do if they want to.
7. Ballistics.
8. The Tersans doesn't care, as long as it is good.
9. Warp, but it can depends alot.
