What is your one dearest Hearts of Iron II wish?


My wish is a more realistic peace working system. No longer all out ANNEX OR DEATH! I'm not saying that the war should end with a few war indemnitied paid on each side, but if Germany is occupied in the West, just because they have a huge area of Russia, it doesn't mean they will keep fighting.

First thanks for HOI and HOI2 with all of the bugs and gliches, better than nothing at all.
1. Ability to sort production queue(show just planes, ships etc.). Down to individual unit types(basic fighter, advanced fighter) would be even better.
2. Sorting leaders by trait(defense, offense, fortress buster etc)
3. Ability to go from list of units directly to unit by clicking on unit in list.
4. Building airfields as part of province construction. Airwings could only be stationed in provinces with airfield and redeploy org penalty would be greatly reduced or eleminated.
5. Bomb specific targets in province(ie factory or infrastructure) including reducing AA level.

2 - See the statistics screen. You can sort leaders by trait there.
3 - This is exactly how it works now. Selecting a unit from the list on the left side of the screen centres the main map on that unit.
5 - The Installation Strike mission reduces AA, the Logistical Strike reduces infrastructure and Strategic Bombardment reduces IC / TC

I might add that a battle of this size is not over in an hour. It would be a battle lasting at least a few days or maybe even weeks before one side or the other pulled or was driven back.

Perhaps you could (at least) provide a detailed "after action report". Who was involved, how many troops both sides, casualties taken both sides, dugin or fortifacation status. <even a rough estimate would help.

Normal is quite high speed for maintaining war. Try to slow down to at least below normal. When there are combats, slow down even to slow (or very slow if there is really complex situation that whole needs your attention).

My 2 cents:

I'd like to see when a unit will be done in the production queue without hovering over the series. Just put it below the est. time for the series being done. That way I can see in a glance when units will be rolling off the line.

i would be surprised if no one has said this but...

the ability to target specific provinces (the one you click on) for aerial bombardment not the region. Regional target means you might miss the province with all the heavy industry centres.

also, increase the length of time it takes for industry to recover from strat bombing, this would be good.

this would ofc mean that i also want rocket attack strength to be nerfed, make them more realistic, not all of them hit, they hardly do any damage (the conventional rockets i mean) and we have some air doctrine which lets us intercept them.

i also have an idea about resistance movements. french resistance say, controlled by britain, britain can use it, build underground munition factories, sabotage industry, and logistical sabotage. All this would be very good in the lead up to invasion, making the game far more interesting. Actualy an idea i just came up with while typing the strat bombing idea, so it might be good/bad.

It's probably already been said, but an 'improve all' infrastructure option. Currently playing as Japan, I've just finished off China and the infrastructure levels are appaling. Now, instead of going through every single province having to click the infrastructure button, how about being able to improve them all in one go? Would save my finger some clicking.

I'd be willing to pay $10 - $15 just for this option alone :p

Divide the production screen into 3 different ones, Navy - Airforce - Army

Navy:
Production depends on amount of harbours (levels) you have
If you have two lvl 10 and two lvl 4 harbours, this means 28
Then you can have a multiplier for IC. This multiplier can also be raised by techs.

Airforce and Army:
Set a figure, for example 60% army and 40% Airforce at the beginning (possibly like historical figures)

Then, while playing, you can change this slider like the political ones.
Maybe you want more airforce, move the slider to 50% army and 50% airforce. The time for this change could be 3 month f.e
