Yes, alternate history is my goal too in my games.


btw, if anyone really likes alternate history, check out Harry Turtledove's books. they're all really cool and alternate history-ish.

For me, it has to be the IGC Dai-Viet. Easy access to china, and careful use of colonisation gives you Indo-china itself, and once led me as far as persia. I'd also say Brandenburg and Denmark-Norway are my two favourites. One gives easy access to Germany and starts with a relatively weak Pommeria to crush. The other, a really good alternative naval power to England.

Hmmm...as mentioned earlier one of my favourites is Pomerania...it has a relativle easy Brandemburg to crush.

I liked Meditarranean(sp?) countries. A lot of action and possibilities because of the see: colonization, sea battles, etc.

Particularly, I liked to play Aragon with a spread territory (Iberia, Baleares, Sardinia, Two-Siciles). Great challenge: contain France and Castille land attacks, contain Ottoman expansion, etc.

I too was thinking of playing Sibir. Especially after hearing all the ravings about it. But when that someone who brags soooooooo much about Sibir flies the Brenton flag you have to wonder.

Hey, the only reason I don't have the Sibir flag is I like Brittany equally as much and the Breton flag is cooler (haven't I already said that? )

I don't brag about Brittany b/c I haven't started an AAR with them (and I will so no one else start one!).
