I did Gold rush as the Great horde.

After that I released and played as Zaporozhie for the Sich Rada government and formed Poland to get as high as possible Cavalry combat ability with 100% ratio.

It was glorious to see Ottoman troops melt away in the shock fase with a 6 shock general and then stack wiping them.

Play whole game as OPM without any expansion (from 1444 to end game and have only 1 province)

Actually I have done this with Salzburg in "One City Survival".
For once I wanted to reach the late-game, so the self-restriction was necessary. I had no rule about wars, so I participated in about 75. Most of them I declared for my big allies Austria and Spain after Imperialism and gave them all the conquests. I sieged down Constantinople and was close to dismantle the HRE. All in all, a very interesting and wonderful game.

My "Cornwall into GB" run looked highly unlikely in the beginning to me. At least the way I intended to get the independence as a 3-dev OPM from England. But as it worked out, it is clearly a highlight in my "EU4-vitae". I guess the difficulty level is comparable to starts like Navarra or Perm.

Still be engaged in a campaign after 1700.

That is also my "impossible". Long ago I had twice Empires of about 5k dev in 1650. I totally lost interest in these games. No military challenge anymore, "just" internal administration and organization. Meanwhile I can't remember, my last game going past 1570. So, something to be achieved for me in the future.

Yeah, you can get perma tribal rebels (or particularists, but I think horde is better for this). You'll be at perma 100% autonomy on everything but your capital, but that's okay, because you can overflow your army maintenance + use drill while massively over FL for manpower.

For the overflow bit, see my old reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/eu4/comments/e92ynm
If you dedicate say a 1k stack to drill at 7 FL, you can probably get on the order of 30k manpower a month from the massive professionalism spikes.

Sorry for my profound ignorance, but how is the balance positive with so low income and so high spending?

Is it a bug from the game, if the balance is too much negative it becomes magically positive?

I assume it's a bug yes.
Army maintenance cost (a positive number), like with most eu4 numbers overflow at (2^31-1)/1000, which is roughly at 2 million. So the moment you hit 2^31/1000, your army maintenance becomes a negative number. Since you subtract expenses, you are essentially now subtracting a negative number, which is just addition.

To do this you have to be ridiculously over the FL (I was 3000/8, although I cycled 2^32/1000 once already) and have lots of inflation (1000%), so having everything at 100% autonomy is a reasonable setup for this

Enjoy the game, that's my goal, but I always fail at it, mainly because how poorly Europa Universalis is made, and how many anti player events there are, and also how stupid it is*. I rather play a game, where I do good, I see good outcomes, as a result of my actions, and while I do bad, I see bad results. In EU4, nothing really matters, or it hardly matters, since everything is random. I'd even dare to say, to not even call this game Europa Universalis 4, but Random Event Generator 4. Having XXXX, 4 digit number of hours played, I played just 1, exactly 1 iron man game [got 11 achievements, which I don't even care for], and I never felt so frustrated, I have never sweated, and sweared so much, I felt like I'm going to throw my PC through the window, and jump after it, but I live on the 2nd floor, so I would survive.

The reason why I play PC games to begin with, is to have fun, and EU4 is mostly quite the opposite, which is why I stick to single player not iron man, so I can either save/load forever, or use commands whenever I feel like, and somehow counter the BS that happens. I'm playing games to experience something good, for everything else I have a life for.

In all that time that I played, I'm not sure that I ever went pass 1600, I mostly go to around 1500 and just restart, get bored. Nothing keeps me in the game, as I previously wrote, the anti player mechanics are a huge disappointment. Default AE is ridiculous, I could write a book about how broken EU4 is, which is also why we need EU5, so this random event generator approach is gone. That's how EU4 feels like, like some sort of a board game with UI, where both AI and player throws a dice during every action, and that defines what happens. It's like when you play UFO series game, or any game like that, you have a gun next to enemy head, and then the game rolls, weather you hit, or not... and you miss, even though there's virtually no logical way of missing, it's a game, and apparently no logic applies here.

So, that's my impossible goal, enjoy a game, but I keep playing it, hoping that one day I'll be able to do it.

I can't play "tall", but at the same time I can't expand fast, I can't colonize fast, I can't do anything fast. When I have a good king, heir, he dies in a hunting accident, when I'm too rich I get bombarded with events that make me lose money. When I have too much adm/dip/pol, I get bombarded with events that make me lose them, I hate it, I hate it so much, I hate about 99% of the events, since a vast majority of them are negative, and punishes me for no reason, punishes me all the time, punishes me regardless of what I do. My life is a punishment, and believe me, I'm not a masochist, that's why I'm not enjoying it mostly, same with the game. I thought of modding it to my liking, but that would take too much time, I hardly ever cheat, though.

*AI get's wrecked because of it too, amount of times where I saw Castille past 1500 with no colonies, occupied by rebels spawning over, and over, going in debt, declaring bankruptcy, just for the cycle is ridiculous. Castile is screwed by hard coded events, but the deteriorating relations with the clergy is just as bad.

Also cheating AI annoyes me, you can clearly see it if you go fow, send your army to a certain province, AI having no chance of knowing where you move you units will redirect it's army elsewhere, thought it sometimes may be not so obviouss, it's easier to be seen when moving ships, same things happen, move your fleets somewhere, enemy fleets runs away.

What about the AI stupidity when it comes to warfare? It's mostly just waiting game. Country A sieges first country B capitol, while country B sieges county A capitol, and they will mostly just evade each other, and siege whatever there is to siege, even if takes X years, a reason why I pretty much never get any alliances, or just refuse to join wars. Siege, move away, unsiege, move away, siege, 5 years have passed, siege, unsiege, move away, too low war enthusiasm, rebels spawn, end war, decalre bankcruptcy. Repeat.

My goal is One Faith without extensive use of vasals for convertion. It feels possible, but I've been banging my head against this achievement for some time.
I did this in 1.28 starting as Aragon into Orthodox Byzantium. The unions over Castile and Portugal(from a mission) allowed me to convert them to Orthodox and make them create orthodox CNs which colonized most of the new world as orthodox. IIRC I colonized many of the old world provinces myself and converted them by killing the natives beforehand. Orthodox gets a lot of missionaries* and missionary strength and Byzantium gets +3% from their ideas and +2% from a mission(and +10% vs heretics for 20 years which I didn't really use), so I felt that the additional missionaries from Najd or the Mughals were not necessary. I think I finished before 1780, so there is a lot of buffer and it should still be possible with the additional provinces in the current patch. But other strategies (e.g. trade company conversions for all the non-abrahamic provinces) might be even easier

* you can get 8 missionaries as orthodox: 1 base, religious ideas, Rome, Jerusalem, Mecca, DotF, pentarchy, parliament issue "Propagation of State Religion"

My most impossible goal is achieving historical borders as Portugal untill 1578.
I can do it untill Africa, India and Malasia, but when it finally comes down to Macau and Nagasaki, they are simply too hard to get before 1578.

I'd like to manage to lead an HRE with all 844 normal tags as member states. It's theoretically possible, I think, since you can get non-European countries to join by moving your capital to an HRE province on the proper continent. The trick would be to manage to control separatists enough to spawn all revolter nations and help all formations - while somehow releasing the state doing the forming afterwards.

As a footnote, having that many member states would result in 2.46 IA/month which is frankly insane.
