yes, i'm pissed for wasting 6 hours trying to reinstall IC on a clean fully patched AoD, up to AoD 1.07. Then i told your damnable IC installation program to install IC using the damn gamersgate files for the IC game i purchased months ago. Then i installed the IC v1.01 over the installed IC vanilla crap. Then I copied and pasted the IC 107 .rar files into the IC folder.
Now guess what i get to play with???? NOT a effing thing. it tells me there's a runtime error/video error.
Supposedly, the following are the instructions for installing IC over top of a fully patched AoD, that means including the AoD 1.07 patch!
"For both Arm and AoD you should copy a fully patched version of the basic game to a new folder. Copy IC to the new folder and rename it what ever you want. IC over writes the files for those games. Any time you get a new patch for the basic game you have to repeat the process. Patches for IC get put in your IC folder for it can patch the IC modified files."
I did that. I started out with a clean copy of aod patched to aod 1.07. then told your install IC vanilla program to install to that folder. It DIDN'T. I can't find the shortcut in the IC folder at all, but it places one on the desktop. the folder i tell IC to install to is called Iron Cross, NOT my Aod folder. wtf is your damn install program doing???
How does it do that without having a similar place to go to initially like all other games do?
and i take a clean download from the effing gamersgate servers every damn time just so it's supposedly clean.
it doesn't effing work worth a damn.
why in the hell cant you teams get together and write a damn program that can seamlessly update your damnable games?????
If IC is supposed to be a MOD then it should be in a MOD folder inside a clean patched copy of AoD!
I would STRONGLY suggest that you make a damn sticky with your NON-simplified instructions on which damn version of aod goes where and what to patch it too before we try to use your effing IC install program, cause the IC install program clearly doesn't know what the eff it's supposed to be doing at all!
