Your First Custom Nation?

My Idea for my Nation is to start off in the lands Ancient Egypt once had If I have enough points of course, Now I am just curious will we get events for our nations ?. Will we get events at all ?

Ok I should word my question better, I meant will we get events that fire just like a normal Non Custom game ( Heir dying Etc ) or no ?

Here we go, another party pooper, in a fun thread, no one cares about that thinks he's so important to be ruining other people's fun.

You know, many people don't play this game for stupid achievements. I've not played Ironman a single time because I find it the opposite of fun - if something breaks, there's a bug, stupid thing happening etc. - I can't do anything about it, in normal mode I can just tag switch, edit save game or use console commands to fix many problems that occur, and I like that.

Good thing that you enjoy the achievements, but then please, keep your annoying disrespectful comments out of this thread, it's not for crybabies to moan, but for people to have fun and creatively propose custom nation ideas.

I don't know where you got the idiotic idea that most people prefer achievements over a MAJOR feature that lets you create a completely customized nation. Achievements are worthless, in my eyes (see, two can play at this game of hating on random features of the game), while the nation designer potentially provides hundreds of hours of additional gameplay.

Sometimes I'm really disappointed in the strict forum rules here because people like you would understand only crude language. The elitism & the feeling of entitlement from some people here is beyond ridiculous.

Flaming people isn't exactly what belongs in a fun thread either. I just vented an opinion that *some* players might also have (careful wording), being that including this feature in a dlc and not making seperate dlc around it, is just a way to make the entire playerbase pay for a feature that not all might want.

Also, If you can create more than one country and I have a lot of time on my hands one day, It'd be fun to recreate the a Medieval total War type Europe with bigger countries, and see how that pans out in EU4's more realistic situation.

You probably couldn't pick enough provinces to make Scandinavia united at the start. You can only pick enough provinces to be a smaller regional power in the beginning. Of course, if it counts by base tax and not # of provinces, it might mean you'd be able to do it because of the low base tax.

Remember that you can have 800 points if you pick 'very easy', and there's always modding...

I am wondering that too. Cause I have a choice of being Ism or Catholic.. And i wish i could choose something different lol. More Pagan like if I am going to Resurrect the Ancient Egyptian Empire

You could make them animist, I suppose that'd be the 2nd closest after paganism.

You seem to lack basic reading ability. I didn't call you idiotic, an elitist, moaning crybaby, nor did I call you annoying or disrespectful. You're trying to make my post seem offensive while it isn't. I called you a party pooper. If someone says something stupid, I say that whatever he said is stupid, I don't call the person stupid (unless he's consistently acting stupid, which would justify the calling if there was a reason to not show respect). And if I make it clear that what he said is stupid, not he himself, then that's how it should be interpreted, you're putting words in my mouth.

The tone of my post is a slight escalation from the tone of your post. I have not insulted or flamed at you anywhere. Please re-read the post several times if that makes it easier and try to stop misinterpreting everything I wrote. Thank you.

You didn't say *some* either, you said majority. It would be highly appreciated if you word your statements correctly, then, because I can't know what you were thinking at the time of the writing other than the exact words you wrote.

First is going to be a Caribbean Pirate nation, similar to what others have talked about.
Second is going to be Australia/New Zealand
Third is going to be a Spice Islands nation, so I guess kinda Phillipines/Indonesia sorta thing?
Fourth will be a nation on the US East Coast
Fifth will be starting somewhere around Southern Central/Northern South America with the intention of taking over S America
Sixth will be South Africa
Seventh will be a military powerhouse in the Himalayas
Eighth will be The Hashashin
Ninth will be the most central province in the HRE, whatever that is
Tenth will be starting in Iceland with the intention of owning every island in the game, cos someone mentioned that and it's an awesome idea
Eleventh will be an English Channel trade node dominance country for the money kek

Tech groups, religions, government types etc. will be worked out on the fly as I'm creating them. Unless anyone has really good/interesting suggestions for any of those?

And yes, I am thinking this far ahead

Since there are a lot of nations with no special events etc. and even converted nations with the generated tags get the non-nation specific events I don't see why custom nations wouldn't get any events.

I think I'll go as many others with The Templars in mesoamerica (Yucatan).

Culture: Maltese (because they get names from French, Italian, Spanish, etc... So it represents a sort of European/Latin melting pot), Tech: Eastern (to avoid the natives to go Western and to represent the fall back in tech they had during their exile), Government: Theocracy/Religious Order (I want the HoS to be a Grandmaster not a Archibishop), Religion: Catholic (or maybe Orthodox... I think they might be disappointed that the Pope let the French King banish them).

As for the NI something like:
