I just got done watching the Borgia's.. so im thinking of making Cesare's ambition Northern Italian Kingdom with the Borgia Dynasty.

Capital would most likely be Florence
Religion Catholic
Culture (This is a tough one, i might make it Catalan since the Borgia's are from Aragon but i might also make it Italian since only the rulers are Spaniards and adopted alot of Italian culture.
Location North of Papal States, but south of Switz/Austria
Color not sure yet
Government Feudal Monarchy
Tech Western

Not sure if said before, but I'd like to cover the New World in a ton of ahistorical countries. Chinese Colonies in California, Vinland, Markland and Greenland, Nova Roma in Florida. Primarily to mess up colonization, they would be mostly Western Tech.

The High Priest of Leng rules with absolute awe and terror, for his words are the words of the Great Old Ones.

Ships of the Moonbeasts: +25% Trade range
The toadish moonbeasts are fellow servants of the Great Old Ones. With the help of their merchants and flying ships, there is almost nowhere Leng cannot reach.

I'm sure the exact numbers will have to tweaked, especially if I decide to go for a 'fair' game, but that's the gist of it.

I believe it does already, actually.
The tag ARD (Ardalan) is designated as the primary tag of the Kurdish culture. There is no tag called "Kurdistan", though that is the default name of Province 418 in all languages except English (where it is called Diyarbakir by default)

A pirate nation exclusively for multiplayer.

Culture: English
Name: Pirates of the Caribbean
Religion: Catholic (later reformed)
Technology group: Western
Government: Merchant Republic
Ruler: Hector
Dynasty: Barbossa
Capital: The Azores or Tortuga
Map graphics: Western

+0.5 Yearly republican tradition
+20% Colonial range or Colonist

+10% Morale of armies
+15% Morale of navies
+100% Available mercenaries
-10% Mercenary cost
-15% Naval maintenance modifier
+30% Privateer efficiency
+1 Yearly naval tradition

+25% Naval forcelimits modifier

The nation will revolve purely around privateering and declaring war against any player with a significant amount of coastline. I'll then proceed to blockade, sink their fleets, burn down colonies, loot their provinces and hopefully you can steal gold from the treasure fleets coming back from America. Mercenaries will do most of the ground work as it'll be risky business looting provinces and assaulting coastal provinces without getting caught. Demands will always be gold, lots of gold. Sometimes rum.

The only thing that I'm having trouble with deciding is where to start. Ideally it would be Tortuga, but a western nation in America is 170/200 points already. There's no way you could have decent ideas with ~30 points remaining even as an OPM. My other idea was to start in the Azores and shoot straight for America with Exploration and then move my capital there. Failing that I would probably start along the Barbary coast or even Somalia. I'm not too sure though, as getting enough provinces in Africa for a decent naval force limit would be more difficult, well, keeping hold of them will be (compared to the numerous islands in the Caribbean for example).

Any suggestions?

An Orthodox Moray.

Moray was once independent, and my ancestors are all from the region.

Orthodox because I think it fits the thrawn mindset of the Scots (especially of Moray). Also it never made sense that they'd have such trouble with temporal leadership in London, but be fine with spiritual leadership out of Rome.

Hmm, a Vinland situated in Newfoundland (and whatever areas I can get after choosing western tech), and more than likely a Knights Templar nation located around Maine soon after that.

Probably the Katzie, the first nations group that lived where I grew up, represented as an OPM with very standard west coast native ideas. Something simple.

For future playthroughs... I don't know, I kind of see myself mostly using it to represent smaller, less-significant OPM states roughly where they were located, or else vassal states which EU4 incorporates into their mother realms. Something small.
