How did you take all those minors without stepping on the toes of Major's guarantees? I have been playing Prussia, and I took a couple of those minors, but had to stay clear of the others when they were guaranteed by 2 or more majors at the same time (France, Austria, Sweden or Russia, in some combination).
Well, at day zero you can declare a lot of them because they haven't been guaranteed, so i declared Hessen imedeately. After that Nassau was unprotected. The rest, you have to wait and always keep an eye on the diplomacy screen. I also attacked Austria very early as their manpower was down vs Ottomans.

Only Bavaria is guaranteed by anyone at the very start of the game. You can use all your five diplomats before ever unpausing...

Spain is far better in terms of cash, armies and manpower than Prussia or Sweden, for example.
Ofc expanding to Italy is less effective than expanding to Germany.

Spain can grab all of the barbary states and sardina and puppet sicilly and portugal within a year. That puts you in a position to rebuild your manpower, set up your armies properly and then wait your chance to stab france in the back.
