Leon Trotsky, in my opinion the most interesting man out of the Russian Revolution. The man crafted the Red Army from a group of rowdy peasants, genuinly believed in the values of the revolution and a really pretty good writer and journalist.

And, unfortunately, it is not all that easy to find a few good books about him. I´ve read one biography recently which wasn´t all that good. Got any tips perhaps?
FDR is probably my favorite US President too, but I think it's a stretch to say he saved the world from tyranny.
I've read a few pages, and most of these appear to be pretty standard replies (which is fine).
