So what are your favorite mods to help make Stellaris better in 2.2?

I currently like:
UI Overhaul - Makes the UI a lot better
Technology repeated - you have more things to do at the end-game
Realistic Demographs - proportional pop growth - Your main species won't become minor species anymore, but rather the species will grow proportionally
Glavious Ultimate AI - I'm using this - never tried game without it, so I don't know how much better or worse the AI is, but in theory they should be a bit better at managing themselves

I use the ones you listed, plus for me the absolute must haves are NSC - New Ship Classes, a traditions mod (Plentiful Traditions? I hate the fact vanilla has, like, 7 traditions... ), a couple by AlphaAsh (creator of Alphamod), various trait mods and when it's finally updated, Expanded Ascension Perks.

There are also another 30 or so mods I use for specific things, which I'll have to list later when I am home.

Well, which one? There's like a gazilion of them. Which one do you use?

I currently consider these mods as must have:

Light borders
Autosurvey at start standalone

and a mod made by me which allows you to construct multiple megastructures at the same time (its available on steam workshop for anyone who wants something like this)

Is the only mod i am currently using, but the others you listed sound interesting.
I dont like mods that change the gameplay directly, but the glavious ultimate AI is basically a must have fix. i only started using it recently, without it, I find even grand admiral to be pretty tame. having all the resources in the world doesnt help an Ai that is too dumb to properly take advantage of it.
that isnt bragging, its just that, the ai will sometimes just fail to do anything and scaling difficulty to max in vanilla doesnt help an ai that doesnt have a clue. if nothing else, it makes the ai much more agressive.

glavious ai can actually beat me at highest settings so i appreciate that.

Thanks for the link!

I find vanilla empire borders a bit too thick and this mod reduces the thickness of the border lines, makes it all look a bit cleaner imo. Its a minor thing but minor things bug me the most :D

EDIT: I would add another mod that I use and find must have, a little mod that is quite underrated:

I'm using Glavius AI as only game-changing mode ('cause current vanilla AI is, let's not mince words, abysmal)
As for UI - Tiny Outliner Rejiggered (sadly it's not compatible with 1080p UI Overhaul plus this mod is a bit of a mess, but I can't stand the basic outliner with it's humongous icons for everything), Sensible UI Overhaul (as an alternative to 1080p UI) and Light Borders

I'm running my own which is a collection of various stuff but most important things I have there is that:
1) Corvettes cannot use Missile sections (so they only have 3xS and 2xS+1xPD)
2) Destroyers have Missile frontal and rear sections (so they serve as the main early "rocket" units)
3) Strike crafts reworked - added "defensive wing" which stays near ship and attacks SC and rockets; added "interceptors" which have very good tracking and so are good at attacking smaller ships (target Corvettes first, then Destroyers etc.), added "Bomber wings" which have very low tracking and so are good at destroying bigger ships and stations (choose targets from the biggest to the smallest)
- increased attack range, movement and turn speed
4) Cruisers and Battleships have more sections with Hangars (to enable "Carrier" builds with the reworked SC)
5) Pacifists can build the improved versions of defense platforms (Defense station/Fortress - those that were removed from the vanilla game in 2.0)
before 2.2 I was using a mod which added more section types to Titans and thus allowed to arm them with crapload of medium/hangar/PD/small slots and thus make Titans useable in other roles than pure-long range. I am not sure if this mod still has support for 2.2 though.

Currently noteworthy 2.2.3 (am on the beta build) mods I consider essential;

* UI Overhaul 1440p

* Glavius AI + GAI Starbase crash fix

* Holiday Fixes 2.2.3 (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1598606408)
-> - Crisis purges again (Homer2102), sadly they often decide not to invade, this must be fixed by Paradox.
- Stratified Society faction is happy again, even if you have robots (Ghost73).
- Caravaneers dont spam-offer anymore, they keep calm for a year if you dont want their deal (counts for each fleet on its own).
- Caravaneer jump distance in case of emergency (enemy territory) increased slightly to decrease the likelyness of deal-event loops.
- Simple unemployed robots should no longer create crime.
- Fixed event "Life Electric" happens to apply to orbit with mining station requirement, which would block the 3 society.
- Added missing translation string for job descriptions on base upkeep/production (Google translate yay!) thanks to geezerwod on reddit.
- Removed amenities upkeep for pops that are being purged (why should they get blackjack and hookers anyways?).

* Realistic Ethics Attraction
-> Did you ever wonder, why your pops don't care about the fact that they are living next to a very dangerous empire?
And yes, pops without citizenship rights would love to get them too.
Your pops live in Utopian Abundance? I guess you're empire ethic have to be the only correct one there is else the living standards wouldn't be that high, right?
You chose "Xeno-Compatibility" as Ascension Perk? Well... seems like you're a Xenophilic empire and your and pops will love those xenos too!
This mod also adds a bunch of smaller tweaks so that ethics attraction make more sense in general.
To give a better feeling about the massive size of the changes: This mod has more than doubles the lines of code in the file that manges ethics attraction, from 2500 to 5300.

*
Better Diplomacy: Realistic opinions
-> Did you ever wonder, why other empires don't care what you think about refugees? Or about your First Contact Protocol?
This mod adds opinion impact for policy decisions. It's like real life!
You chose "Interstellar Dominion" as Ascension Perk? Well... what do other empires have to say about that?
This mod also adds some smaller tweaks so that opinions make more sense in general.

* Realistic demographics - Proportional Pop Growth

* Dynamic Potential Events 2.2
-> and DPE/PR 2.2.3 Submod, for the beta.

* Potent Rebellions 2.2
-> and DPE/PR 2.2.3 Submod, for the beta.
