Just started playing CK2 finally and was wondering which your favorite DLC is and why?

Major DLCs, not unit packs, music, etc. (I do know no one has Reapers Due yet unless a tester chimes in or a dev ;) )

Thanks!

All of them besides Sunset invasion are my favorites. They all add something to the game which i like. So its hard to say which is my favorite because they are all pretty good. besides one which was Sunset invasion.. That one i never got and never will :D

This.

Though The Old Gods remain my favorite, I've grown to love Horse Lords. My last five games have been as a Nomad and despite some issues with Conclave, I find it enjoyable to raze cities and slowly expand. The manpower/population mechanic, while simple, is so satisfying to nurture.

Favorite:
The Old Gods - 867 bookmark is wonderful. Vikings are great--I never get tired of raiding just to abduct and NTR someone's wife, sisters, or daughters. Zoroastrian is fun for the challenge and the wincest.

Essentials:
Way of Life - Gives more to do during peace times.
Horse Lords - Nomads are the most enjoyable unconventional government type for me. Silk road, forts, and tributaries are also welcomed features.
Conclave - Empowered council is great if you're content with role-playing as a vassal and not planning to power-game and map-paint.
Legacy of Rome - No longer obligatory now that retinues got nerfed hard, but even small quantity of retinue is still better than nothing.

I actually didn't get Legacy of Rome for the longest time, specifically because I didn't want a permanent OP army. Even as a big empire I still rely primary on my Levies. Like that better.

I'd pretty much agree with this. Though there really isn't much point in having RoI if you don't want to play as an Indian ruler, nor is there much point to Charlie if you think the 769 start is broken, or if you just don't want to start at that point.

Or if you use HIP mod, which contains neither.
