I'm a bit confusted. I'm marrying off the characters I've got in my court. Now here's, where the confustion comes in. I'd get a message to say so & so has arrive @ the court. but I cannot use any of them. Then I'd get a wife, I can only use her as a spymaster, she is not available for any other posts.

Can anybody help me.

Only men at the age of 16 or above may take a seat in your council. The only exception are mothers and wives which may become your spymaster if you choose to appoint them to those positions.

And if you don't like that it's a quick fix in the game files to change That is the first thing I did when I got the game, opened up the diplomat steward and spymaster options for all women. that's how it was in CK1! I thought it was fine if women didn't become marshals or chaplains though.
