Your Airport

Since Airports will be a major hub for our cities influx of travelers, I wanted to see what your nearest or most used Airport is. For me, it would be the Newark Liberty International Airport.

The second would be the Philadelphia International Airport.

Don´t mean to bust your bubble, but what is the point in those fancy airports if there´s not a tool in sight to build anything like it? Maybe one day a modder will make a "Modular Airport" as for CXL, but until now this is quite a big "maybe". It´s a bit like reading the menu of a 12 round meal when you know you will only get a cheeseburger. Or do you mean to ignite a project like that? Modular would be the best way, so people can get creative and build their own custom airports.

Here is Paris : Charles de Gaulle. It is the most used and big of the three Parisian airports.

Meanwhile in boring Sweden - Stockholm Arlanda aiport.

My nearest Airport is the Westchester County Airport (It may be a small regional/domestic airport but Air Force One landed on it a few weeks ago)

BTW the NY-CT line is parallel to runway 14 (the border is along the road next to the terminal)

Major airports are:
LaGuardia (which is widely regarded as a horrible airport IDK why)

As you can see a road run rights through the runway, and their is a good chunk of cars waiting to get across

Only for the time being, I understand Gibraltar are planning/building a road tunnel/underpass to separate the highway and the runway.

Thats literally what I had thought they should do. Surprised they hadnt gone with that plan to begin with. Perhaps I should Govern Gibraltar

You know how airplanes work right? They go up, in the air. The same place that a bridge would also be. That would be messy.

That's why I say it would require so much engineering.
I didn't say it has to be 10m above... can be 200m or more.

While I do understand KR153s point of view, I do not share his negative view of it. It's been confirmed that modular airports won't be in the game at release but I think it's a safe bet that it's one of the things that will be worked on shortly after release. We can't expect to have everything we've always wanted from day one in a complex game like this.

That's not a real picture of Arlanda though. Looks like a render for some proposed project. The white apartment buildings and greenery in the center of the picture are just a grey parking lot today. They do however plan on building a small business district in that area. 25 years from now I think Arlanda will look quite interesting since there's plenty of development planned in the surrounding area. Let's just hope that they can scrap the environment requirements and possibly also close Bromma.
