Its still exploitable as hell. Sure its a tiny bit better in that you cannot exploit it with any resource at any pricepoint, you can still do it, especially if you have lower market fee.

Which correct me if I am wrong, because I don't play multiplayer, but isn't that just worse now because now ppl with lower market fee can cheat while others may not be able to...

they can't "fix" it without changing the underlying mechanics of what the market represents.
Sure they can. The singular cause of the moneyloop is due to how large transactions are (were? 2.2.3 notes hints at this being changed) incorrectly calculated.
There's no magic "underlying mechanic", which breaks the market (you don't see this nonsense in Age of Empires 2) - just a simple bug.

What? Its not in the beta its in the live patch mate wtf are you talking about. Its in 2.2.2 they even went through putting a joke in the patch notes about the exploit. It literally says that its fixed in the live patch notes.

Also what the hell are you talking about attitude. This is a basic friggin feature without which the game is literally broken for everybody. You cannot release the DLC in this state let alone release a patch that doesn't fix it and claim that it does. This is a big friggin issue and we should be kind of pissed at them for not doing what they said, you know, when a company screws up you should absolutely demand a fix. This should be fairly easy to fix, people literally suggested methods on how to fix it when the patch came out, it should absolutely not take weeks to get this done. I get it if the game is released with a bug, sure whatever, it happens, but you can't just say you fixed it when you didn't...

Made tweaks to Galactic Market that should prevent an infinite profits exploit from flooding the market, then rebuying, you shameless tophat-wearing capitalist exploiters, you

Note how it literally says it should prevent infinite profits exploit. It doesn't. Not even close. This is from 2.2.2 patch notes. Get your facts straight.

Pardon me if my recollection is flawed, but then didn't they also say something along lines that 2.2.3 included a more robust fix to this issue?

You should also keep in mind that when PDX says they have applied a fix to something that usually means an improvement, sometimes a minor one. Their fixes tend to be incremental, which is probably a good approach overall so they are not completely crushing the balance with a mallet every time they tweak something.

The melodrama about this being a major problem is a bit exaggerated, however. It is no problem for me whatsoever, since knowing it is there I then do NOT exploit it. Somehow I manage not to cheat at solitaire as well. For MP it is an issue, though apparently not as big of one as the desynchs are.

Market explotability will only change if they implement a mechanic that is similar to economic simulations like Port Royale.

Basically whats needed is reallocation for every every single amount (1 mineral, 1 EC, 1 GC, etc), no matter how much you buy. Shouldn't be that hard to create the algorithm for it but it needs a complete rework of buying and selling mechanic as it is now.
