He had good stats but his traits are arguably more important and they were meh. You only want wroth in a general, it is not very good in a king since kings dont need to lead themselves (although that is an option in his case). Pride isn't the worst but it's still not good. He's only got two virtues if you count gregarious. And he's got ambitious which gives a further penalty to relations with ambitious vassals, the one who are already most likely to give you trouble.
Well, I would take this guy any day over my kind but otherwise entirely sub-par King of Rus. His best stat is learning ... at 8 iirc.
I think good stats are way more important than traits that improve your relations. This guy probably would have countered half the negative effects with his 15 diplomacy skill. And if the necessity for a war did arise, his 24 stewardship should allow him to hire quite a few mercs in addition to his huge demesne levies. Not to mention he might have led them into battle himself, being a genius general.
Of course, it depends on the circumstances. But as it looks, the OP plays as a count and at least doesn't have to worry too much about his vassals lingering in his backyard with their haystacks and some torches ...
