Hi everyone,

For well over a decade, we’ve worked side by side to build one of the most engaging and dedicated communities on the Internet. It all started with the very first Europa Universalis game, and since then we’ve listened to intimate conversations and powerful feedback that the now over one million Paradoxians contribute to on a daily basis.* Paradoxians are the backbone of our company, whether you work at Paradox Interactive or are a part of the community, and together we will all contribute to shaping where our company is going over the next 10 years.

Today, we are introducing The Paradoxian Order! And you are all inducted just by being a part of our community. The idea is to have a Paradox “club” of sorts where we aim to offer products and added value to all of you. This is still very much in BETA and will be developed over time, some things will be offered to all for free and some will be goods offered for sale (we’ve finally stocked our web shop with those Paradox T-shirts you’ve been asking us for!)

FAQ - The Paradoxian Order Value-Added Pack
Questions will be added as they come in

It says this product ships separately, what does that mean?
It means we will be shipping this from our offices (quite possibly hand-packed by your favorite Paradoxian) and not through our regular merch distributor.

Can I still order this product and other items from your webstore?
Absolutely, they'll just be processed and shipped separately.

Can I get a tracking number for my t-shirt delivery?
We will not be providing tracking numbers for the t-shirts, we're aiming for a simpler system and will be shipping them like we did in the old days (anyone remember those Rome busts?). But this information will be available for us to act upon in case any shipments go awry.

The value-added pack lists 1 entry to win an all expense paid trip to one of your fan gatherings. Is that open for Europeans only?
No - we have fan gatherings in different parts of the world, so we'll either invite the winner to your "closest" fan gathering we are hosting or fly you over to the most suitable one. The contest is open for all.

Basically "The Paradoxian Order" is what we will use as our collective name for any "loyalty" activities we have or will have for our fans. Some of these activities you already know like our newsletter (where we frequently give out free games for instance). Some are activities in development. In addition, we have put together a Paradoxian Order pack for 2015 with a special icon, t-shirt, chances to interact with us on different level. I'm not talking about the concept as a whole which is interesting, but rather the package itself which is odd. I think it's a bit weird to "sell" an entry to a contest and a discount among other things. It looks more like a 50 dollar t-shirt (which is kinda expensive) with various bits and bobs included with it rather than some kind of club.

I would have imagined something something more among the lines of a yearly subscription that grant you access to various perks like a dedicated private forum section to interact and play games with devs, custom avatars, exclusive piece of information and sneak peeks onto upcoming products and features, access to games' betas, and yes that unique icon, and other stuff related to IRL events.

Really? It should absolutely be possible to buy it now, I'll check with our sales team. Thanks for alerting.
Regarding the price, it could be good to also note that shipping is included in this product. As a comparison the t-shirts in our merch store are priced around 20$ and average shipping on top of that from our distributors based on current orders is approx 12$.

Forty Nine Pounds Sterling (and ninety-nine pence) on my screen, which still shows as "coming soon"... It's one full-price game and one discounted one. What would Paradox prefer me to spend my money on, I wonder, 'cos it's unlikely to be both!
