Jean is equally as fascinating a character as Harold was (who migth be one of the classic AAR characters of this forum), but alot harder to root for. I'm sure he will come around... I mean, he is a Godwinson. A good Saxon boy like him... deep inside he is Saxon... he will come around... right? Please?

Perhaps a Valdemar Knýtling would be appropriate.

Lots of people try zany and random, but you take it in both hands and make it your own beloved woman in a way few can master. That's what makes you the best. Oh, and as much as flatter gets me all moist and a-twitter, your AAR would be most well served by the skull being that of William the Bastard. Just my two knudlings.

I vote William the Bastard for 2 reasons:

1 - I nominated him, and winning is fun!

2 - William has already killed his father, stolen his throne, and died - thus being Hell eligable - ...plus he is Harold's arch enemy.

3 - The Skull has insulted Harold's family outfit, ignoring the family significance of the Godwineson Cloak

4 - The Skull has also acted all "Godwineson Who?" - totally dissing the Harolds

5 - It would be awesome if the Skull that travels through Hell with Harold turned out to be his arch-enemy, and this is an AAR that thrives on Awesome

6 - It would distract readers from the shocking lack of magicks in the form of Leprachauns

Ooh, Harold waded in the river Styx. Does this mean that everything up to his knees will be invulnerable?

I vote for William the Bastard because it has "the Bastard" attached to it and I like that. I suppose if you're willing to go with Yorick the Bastard or Brutus the Rat Sonofabitch or something like that, I'd be game for that too, but since William the Bastard is the only choice portrayed in that manner, I consider that the default choice for "Bastard" picks.

Plus I like the plot twist that could come when Harold finds out that the skull was his enemy. Maybe if William serves him well, he can join Serlo in the "Reformed Norman" section of Heaven...
