Halp! There's no more room in my small castle! It's filled from tip to toe (if a castle would have toes, I guess) with courtiers. It has catholic courtiers, it has orthodox courtiers, it even has Muslim courtiers.

And now they're spreading illnesses around.

Is there any good way for removing courtiers? They're breeding among one another as well.

It's starting to annoy me. So... Yeah... Any good ways for removin' 'em?

I already send all the fosterlings away that I could.

It's still somewhat silly though, that you can only kick people out of your court if they spend too much time with your wife. :eek:o

I'll guess they'll just have to die out then. Hopefully they'll spare my 19 stewardship steward, it would suck if she'd die. :(

Dissease is in game just to remedey you situation;) People with your last name are much less likley to become disseased, but I think people with a position also are less likely to get ill...just hope Veld can comment :D

Diseases are indeed there to rid yourself of courtiers you don't need. Your children and you as a ruler are less likely to get the disease.

Yeah, if they come in young and married, they'll keep breeding, but at least their kids won't marry (unless you marry your Dynasty to them, then it's your fault :) ).

Personally, i like a few non-Dynasty families around, gives me a pool of boys to give religious training to, for a supply of Bishops when needed, and a way to marry my great Dynasty girls who I'll use in my court and stop those annoying "I want to marry your Chancellor" pop-ups (tho then there's the risk of them dying in childbirth). For those boys and girls outside your religion, send them all thru Religious training, so they'll convert at the end of their schooling and you can use them (if great stats) in your Court. Accept marriage proposals for all those surplus girls for a few Prestige points.

If you have a few families who you'll never have need of, give the father a Count title, then his wife and younger kids will move out with him. Muslim to a Muslim county, Orthodox to an Orthodox county. They'll eventually convert to your religion, but it'll cause less problems for the county.

These suggestions won't solve your immediate problems, but for the long term, they might help.

Also everytime someone asks for a position, choose the option to sent them away.

Don't marry your daughters to people inside your court, so that they don't fill your court with their children.

Give titles to courtiers with (minor) children, they will then take their kids with them.

Get excommunicated ;) or get low prestige, courtiers will then start to leave your court.

Become Papal controller, then males from your court will be elected bishop somewhere when a bishop dies somewhere.

If you have a lot of male relatives in your court, don't marry them to young wifes but marry them to older wifes , they then won't produce children.

.... or you can use the gamey method of F12 - die command on them. You can always justify that with you banishing/removing them from your court.

I am not sure ... but if you kill of a male with wife and (underaged) children, then maybe the wife goes home to her home court and take the kids with her.

I always thought it was weird/funny how random nobles can just wander in after being banished from other courts without me having any say in it, or even getting a message about it. Whenever I get events related to random people I don't know I always wish that there was a 'Who the hell are you?' or 'How did you get in here?' option.

Anyway, courtier population tends to fluctuate over time so I usually just live with it. It's more annoying when you're sitting on a lot of land but are lacking courtiers to give it to. Though loads of courtiers do make it difficult to find specific people and so on.

Hmmm... I do control the current pope.

Perhaps I must send out the assassins to nearby bishoprics... :eek:o
