Alright, I just had an idea of an interactive CK2 AAR. You are free to suggest anything of course, but keep in mind that I probably will be able to update at most once a day so it would be a good idea to post ideas that I might use 5 or 10 years into the game! I will try to stop at important junctures if I'm at a huge crossroads.
I'm not sure if this is even going to work what with all the events that take place all the time, and so I wonder how often I should stop and wait for your ideas. We'll try to find a balance.
I will post the save at every end of post so you can look around for potential marriages and other goodies.
I have but a few rules:
- We are Greek, we are Orthodox, Napoli is our capital.
- We are never going to become the vassal of any faction calling itself Roman.
- We are never allowed to do anything that is ridiculously gamey. No marrying a crown prince in a matrilineal marriage and switching to elective, no sir.
- Reloading is allowed only if we are destroyed entirely (considered a BAD END, return to autosave).
- No mods. I like some of the redone maps, but I would like to keep vanilla to keep everyone on the level.

In fact, your only worthy accomplishment is somehow staying alive all this time as the only orthodox around.
Your only family is your half-brother IOANNES and his son SERGIOS SPARTENOS who UNLIKE YOU is QUITE TALENTED. They are BOTH UNMARRIED.
Your council are AT BEST MEDIOCRE and you have a Bishop who you suspect MAY IN FACT BY ILLITERATE.
Your neighbors a RATHER UNPLEASANT BUNCH. They are:
- The norman DUKE OF APULIA who wants only to create the kingdom of Sicily and wipe you out!
- The DUKE OF SALERNO who is TRUTHFULLY THE ONLY PERSON WEAKER THAN YOU AROUND.
- The COUNT OF CAPUA who dislikes you and MAKES MORE MONEY THAN YOU. He wants to create the duchy and wipe you out.
- The DOGE OF GENOA who hates your noble blood and wants to turn your land into a FILTHY REPUBLIC.
- THE MUSLIMS who really just wants all your land, your head on a spike and your people converted by force. BUT THIS IS OKAY because YOU KIND OF WANT TO DO THAT TO THEM TOO.
- THE motherflippin' "Holy" "Roman" "Empire" with the LOVELY but FRANKLY OVERZEALOUS Matilda as the most local vassal. She will not marry you, you lowly, heretic, pathetic dung-beetle of a man so STOP DREAMING!
What will you do?
(For a list of potential brides etc, take a look at the 1066 September start. There are a few unmarried weak claimants to our neighboring land here and there, but it's up to you!)
