Hi,
I would like to start a new topic concerning units. Those useless ones that you always thought were never going to be used. Always despised, left in the background, never picked. But then you look at them again and realize that these are the gems of your deck.

Example given:
Recently i have been playing the polish 1st division (i know not the greatest) and i tried to use its "special" units. I started with the MORRIS LRC. I deployed it and the start and to no surprise it sucked. It was just awful.
But then i realized it. I have been USING IT WRONG. I deployed it in phase A. This is not a phase A unit. This is a phase B,C unit. You get a AMORED recon for 45 points that can kill halftracks and a MG 42. And it can keep up with your tanks. You could bring a stuart, but it costs twice and has the same firepower value - NONE. For 65 points i can get a morris and a command car and i get rec and vet covered. If it gets killed that what?? A: It got killed by a PAK - Arty the PAK and you win; B: It got killed by a tank - Well bettter a 45 recon than a firefly and you win.

The second and third units are the staghound (>stuart) and the cromwell CS (It has 1200m range=it outranges most at guns=no more 2 inch shit arty problems for me. Just use this one).

So have you spotted any hidden gems out there?

If the Morris LRC came upvet (4 @ 1 star, 2@ 2 star) it would be way more useful in that role without causing any balance problems. It'd also give the light cavalry division some, you know, light cavalry.

I think you still do not get it. It does not matter what vet it is. It is the little car that goes just before your achilles or firefly to take the AT shot for them. It is the 45 point spotter for your arty. It has the armour to survive the arty (almost always true). Its weapons do not make a difference. Its vet does not make a difference. The only thing that matters is its armour and optics.

This is not a "balance this unit" topic. This is "You all have been using this unit wrong" topic.

So if anyone has some unit usage suggestions (even the the most derpy or stupid ones) please post them here. Maybe we can learn something or have a laugh.

You all have been using this unit wrong

Sorry but i did learn nothing new reading you.
Can you rewrite with "I realised i used this unit wrong" instead?

Anyway, you can use cheap wheeled vehicle to make first contact early and take a look without exposing expensive stuff.
Also you can do cheap reconnaissance work later, not like its difficult science.

Now i remember back in WG M113s were the best scouts ever...
