As many other players I like to keep my monarch points stored and use them as late as possible to tech up to be efficient.

And (probably) as many other players I often get distracted by silly things like wars and other shenanigans, ending up wasting points because I did not notice I reached the cap a few months back.

What I would propose is a popup warning the player that, all things being equals, he would reach or exceed the adm/dip/mil cap in the following month.

That have happened so many times to me, so many wasted monarch points. I certainly agree.

A constant worry if you're ahead on tech/ideas, and now with development there are even more reasons not to waste any monarch points!

I'd rather have an alert banner than a popup - if you are at risk of wasting monarch points due to the cap next month, the alert banner could appear.
