This is rare occurance though. When you change TAG.My latest example, actually with two bugs:D-i just annexed France as Britanny, noticed i just got Richemont and company, whose were killed by me few years ago-that's the first bug, but it's already reported.

The second one is related to our belowed chat function. As soon as i pressed tab to say "Hey, They resurrected Richemont!:D", i got CTD.

As i got it when my Novgorod turned Russia.


(btw, here goes third bug/oversight. Novgordod doesn't have it's own ai file, so if it turns into Russia (rare occurence, i admit), it won't colonize at all (which is even rarer occurence, as Russia never made it to Siberian corridor in any of my games)


Btw, another thing. I know Fur prices were lowered to hamper NA natives. But natives are as strong as they were, just Russia is really screwed:D

Doesn't seem like a tag change problem per se; just a matter of conflicting leader files and whole should get what. (If you hadn't annexed France, both countries would still have duplicate leaders; yours just died earlier.)

TAB causing crashes in MP is a known bug.

Now this is an interesting one. Seems to me maybe we should assign the russian.ai file in the include files to MOS, NVG, PSK, RYA, SUZ, and TVE since they can all become Russia. (I thought there was a way to assign a new ai via the events or the monarchs file, for Napoleon, but I guess I'm wrong.)

Anyone else have thoughts about this?

True, but most of Russia's neighbors are similarly weak. I rarely see Russia having a problem dominating a large territory. :)

I had annexed France, then after turning into it, i got French leaders, who were in action in 'previous France'

It's known but IIRC, though.

But IIRC, nobody exactly knew what is causing it. The case i'm talking about is very specific, and i believe, very easy to reproduce.

Well, i sometimes see them conquer Golden Horde. Sometimes :D

Ah,, why in many (30-40percent?) Poland gets diploannexed by Lithuania? And why Ottomans Empire very rarely conquers Mamelukes? Ah, btw. Timurid Empire almost never survives big enough to conquer Delhi.


Oh, ok. I will stop bitching. There is another thing i think can be easily fixed.

Manchu. They usually get annexed by China, then set free as vassal. The point is, They only get Manchu culture. Later, they get Cantonese, and become China, and we have China without Han culture....(Manchu have Han in the beginning)

So, either give them Han in the event they get north Chinese provinces, or make revolt.txt change to give them Han and Manchu as cultures.

The AI file is a known problem. Since a nation will never change its AI file in the game even after changing tags, some nations may be stuck with "castrated" AI files. The various French minors that can become France also have this problem, since none of them have "france.ai" set fot them. Likewise, Aragon should have "spain.ai" set for it if it doesn't already (I can't remember).

Well, it's easily solved. Although I swear I thought I saw an event where napolean.ai was activated when napolean assumed power....

Anyway, I don't think the French minors need such an AI, because the game starts with a France, and it is pretty rare that one of them becomes France. Russia is a different story... there is no Russia, and one of them must become Russia. No sense in just giving Muscowy the benefits.

OK, I've added ai = "russia.ai" to those 5 minors in the GC (Mos already has it). As Rus already exists in 1492 I didn't do them there.
