This is starting to look like you won't be able to wipe up all of Russia and Europe before 1821. Is it just me, or is expansion slowing down?
I see no reason why it should (apart from not taking cored provinces, which might slow him down a bit in the short term) However, he's been annexing quite a few nations in this update so that might make it seem slower.
@PrawnStar: Why are you so keen on annexing the pagans? Aren't those 5 (or 2) BB better spent on more heathen provinces before 1650?

oGuess I always assumed the 5 BB reduction in the Spanish Annex Inca/Aztec/Maya missions was to make up for the BB you aquire from annexing them, and i never saw such any such change in the patch notes...

Jeez. Those numbers seem rather steep. I don't know what version they are for, but it isn't the same now.
Now, it is 1 BB for siezing a province over that is over 1000 population...
I would guess 1 or more BB for taking in a peace deal (seeing as how you don't have a core and it is wrong religion)...
and 0 BB for annexation of a pagan.
1 BB for seizing, 0.5 BB for taking in a peace deal - no different than any other heathen. Annexing the entire country is still 0 BB.

I've never been entirely confident that the low BB WC is viable without more gameyness than I will accept. However, I'll keep on trying and see just how far I get.

Enewald - Not much European focus before 1650 because of the BB costs. After 1650 some of my neighbours will get a surprise

Lord Strange - The problem is 2500 ducats doesn't last that long. For example lvl 1 forts, courthouses, temples, workshops and marketplaces along with missionaries cost around 300 ducats per Pagan province so there isn't that much spare cash after the annex. Also 2500 ducats just isn't that much given the size of France. It's like annual bonus money on top of salary for someone working outside banking.

OrangeYoshi - The Horde has more troops in theatre than me. They appear to have decided bulking up is the answer as by 1630 Slovakia is Horde land and Enewald needs to get worried about who's coming to visit
Didaa - All BB is bad for me, I'm not sure I'll manage to conquer the world staying under the BB limit.
Marcola - Denmark doesn't have QftNW so I control map spread. I don't explore very much. If you look at the last post and the map of the Americas the only unsettled land I know is the set of provinces bordering my land.
I don't know anything about South America, the other Caribbean islands, Canada, South Africa or the Siberian Coast. The route around the Cape of Good Hope is still TI and will stay that way for at least another 50 years.
Newly uncovered provinces are settled within a couple of years. I prefer provinces to be fortified cities by the time map spread kicks in.

In March 1625 I realise I’ve a core on an Ethiopian province that expires in 1651. I don’t recall getting this and I don’t have a screenshot. It probably appeared during some pop-up blitz or when I was having some ‘Kitten on keyboard’ friendly fire.
Ethiopia is tricky. As an Orthodox state provinces cost 1BB each but that core will reduce the cost. I plan to DOW and take two provinces of their five to make them a suitable FV/DA candidate. I’m also planning an attack on the Ottomans.

The Serbs Ottoman overlords come to the battle, without their Golden Horde allies. I have 60,000 men in theatre. BB is 4.34 / 18.00.
War with Ethiopia – April 1625
Not a lot to say here, Ethiopia is unfortified. BB is now 5.34 / 18.00.

The war is going well, Ottoman numbers are massively down. I’m moving into the start storming fortresses stage of the war.
Boundary dispute with Lorraine
Another core that should be very useful after 1650, as a French cultured province this won’t expire in 50 years time.
By July 1627 the Ottomans have been driven from Anatolia but their fleet blocks the crossing into Europe. It’s time for peace.

I replace my oldest 2* with this new 5* diplomat
I’m engaged in constant ‘Cardinal wars’ as both Denmark and Venice keep bribing Cardinals. My Prestige is also a problem; all those uncontested cores are proving a serious drain.
September 1628 and with war exhaustion almost gone and BB down to 3.46 / 18.00 it’s once more time for war.
War with Nepal
I’m cored on Nepal so I’ll annex, Bihar will lose a province (cored) to become an OPM, Vijayanagar will probably be ignored while I want to try and land on Ceylon and OPM them. Ming will of course be reduced in size once again.
Everyone honours the call, Ceylon is alliance leader; annoying. BB is now 4.46 / 18.00.
Peace with Bihar – November 1628
There’s no BB cost as the province is a core after a boundary dispute.
Nepal annexed – November 1628
BB is now 5.68 / 18.00.
Vijayanagar is peaced out for cores days later, mainly to make the waters around Ceylon safe for my transports. The Ceylonese fleet is busy conducting the now traditional invasion of Mahe. Madurai also annexed Assam around this time; perfect for me as Madurai features in plans for the 1630s.
