Why's it named Collie ? Don't paradox update names usually refer to an operation linked (closely or loosely) with the countries/areainvolved in the update ? The Adaman islands are pretty far from the Bosphorus. Or maybe there was another Collie I don't know about...?

Probably a delay of 2-3 weeks, they usually do a few DDs after a new xpac

I heard from the Onion that this DLC was going to include a massive rework of both the Soviet Union and Italy but they decided to cancel it due to too many people complaining about it. Thus, the work on them was cancelled and they will not receive another chance until, at least, all countries in Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa (including releasables) have Focus Trees. On the bright side, they confirmed that Oceania is not on the list. So, Soviet and Italian rework will definitely come before Micronesia Focus Tree. Sorry if these news disappoint you.

I know I'm in the minority for some reason but I still think making the game's core mechanics function decently would be more useful to all nations (including USSR/Italy) than any DLC.

Next x pac will be never, all devs left to become fortnight streamers. Hoi4 will be bought by microsoft and minecraft integration added. Various techs (excavation primarily) will he unlocked by achieving various milestones like first diamond mined, first trip to the nether, etc. You can also get bonus political power by trading with villagers.

But this time PDX said that they are working on both patches simultaneously, so I would expect DDs a lot sooner than usually. Waiting a year or something for next dlc would be a huge disappointment for me.

For clarification, I like focus trees for Greece and Turkey. I can understand why other Meds are in the mix, although it makes me wonder why Yugo was so bad originally. Anyway, all good, as long as...

The country pac is not a fob off or will slow far more critical work on Sov/Ita, plus peace conferences, AI scripting, logistics, and finessing the air and naval games so these cannot be ignored, rather than being minor considerations.

I just ran Czech and Greek campaigns. Trivial. Should be hard to do a WC without either air or sea, really.

In the dev diary where they announced the name of the 1.10 update, one of the devs hinted it could be about a dog and if I remember correctly there are border collies in Turkey.

There is no guarantee that the patch names have anything to do with the content in the patch. If you look back most patches' names have almost nothing to do with the content they had.
