None of those exist on these fora---or rather if they do then they had their names shredded during the name shredding last year.
I just took a test about which decade I fitted best into and the result was the 1770s... Did not see that coming.

It's not a particularly exhausting quiz.
The first question is: Which of these historical events would you preferably (re)experience. (I.e. if you could choose one, and just one, of them which would would you then witness/rewitness?)
the five possibilities are (note that it randomly shuffles the possible answers, so look for the Danish text corresponding to what you want to answer):

- Festen (Dogme movie about a father holding a large birthday party where his son then reveals him to have sexually abused him and his sister. "I have two speeches. A green and a yellow!")
- Pelle Erobreren (The filmatisation of the first volume of Martin Andersen Nexø's large work on the conditions of the lowest classes of society in the early 1900s. Won an oscar for best non English movie.)
- Jeg foretrækker ærligt talt at gå i teatret. (I prefer going to the theatre.)
- Olsen Banden i Jylland (The Olsen Gang in Jutland; third movie int he Olsen Gang series. The Olsen Gang was a very popular series of light comedies. They were some of the only western movies allowed to be showed in the western block because the heroes are the members of the gang and their enemies are the big shots they try to do heists against.)
- De røde hester (The red horses. A Morten Korch movie. I.e. very idyllic national glorification.)

A brilliant scene from one of the Olsen Gang movies. That movie still holds the record for most sold cinema tickets (in the post TV era; pre TV there were some which sold even more tickets---e.g. de røde heste which sold 2.3 million tickets out of a population of around 4.5 million).
Was Ilsa, She Wolf of the SS a major touchstone for Denmark?

Doubt it. I was as surprised to find it in the quiz as you were. I think it's just meant to symbolise the bad part of the 70s (or was it 60s?) And anyway the question was nazi exploitation, so it wouldn't be that movie solely.

Though I read someone where once that they had the world's highest literacy rate at about 1860. And when I was about 7 or so , I remember reading a story about a Danish kid and his travails in a snuff factory.
I, too, got the 1770s, which was basically the high point of New Englander history -- we started the Revolution, and it all went downhill from there.

Hey Wagonlitz, I was skimming some TV Tropes pages (for your sanity, please do not ever do this), and I found something interesting. I looked up the animated TV show Chaotic (which I have been told was produced, or partially produced, by Canadians) and apparently it was based on a card game from Denmark. Have you ever heard about the card game or TV show? It would have been popular about ten years ago.
