Wagonlitz, some people are trying to summon you to take a political values test. They are curious where exactly you stand, as am I.

I encourage both you and others to try it and post the results. It'll be interesting to have a more full view of what people think.

I actually looked at this as I saw you'd quoted me in the other thread. Anyway did the test. Many of the questions are downright poor though and I'm almost certain that the quiz maker meant something different than what I understood, but I answered as I understood them.

When I posted, you didn't have results up. Also, you were tagged, technically, but it was in with a whole bunch of other people and the forum doesn't like tagging a bunch of people at once. Anyhow, thank you for your contribution.

In my experience the case where things break down are if you either post the tags in a spoiler or if you edit them in after having posted a post. The spoiler sometimes work, but an alert will never be generated if you edit in a tag. Similarly for if you edit in a quote.

Trouble in Further India!




Things are going well with the civilising of Further India. Recently the England has managed to subdue the various Burmese tribes and the French have managed to subdue Cochinchina, Anam, Laos, Tonquin, and Cambodia and merge these areas into Indochina. Not all is splendid though. The savages yet to be subdued are raiding your land and utterly miss how you only want them the best and civilise them. These savages are based out of Yunnan and Siam and while you have done single skirmishes into these parts of Further India, you can't really commit to prolonged campaigns in these areas due to orders from London/Paris.​

I for instance missed questions about the importance of family.
Anyway it claimed I'm a social liberal on the global scale---no idea whether that's correct (I'd normally say I have some conservative tendencies), but it freaked pirro out that I got the same as him.

Oh, hello!

In your absence, we've learned that hygge has invaded unsuspecting bookstores and academic conferences in the greater DC area (at times accompanied by would-be temptresses spouting bad poetry and seeking drugs), Wagonlitz holds to "colonial" geographical nomenclature, and that some birthdays are round.

They also play WW here sometimes, but I can't be too positive of that.

I've also learned how to function with 3 hours of sleep.
