Yuck. Carefully check your truffles when purchasing them. Got some to snack on this evening and one of them was really mushy and strange. Normally when I get them there isn't any problems.

Yes, I'm aware that by the nature of truffles no two truffles will ever be the same, but still one expects there to be at least some quality control.

Some cake truffles actually look really really much like fungus truffles.
And it's an honest mistake to make if you don't know about the cake (you don't have cake truffles in the UK? I thought those were widespread).
