While surveying the new AoW map, I spotted what looked like an interesting country- Yarkand. Interesting in that it seems pretty doomed, sandwiched between the Timurids, Chagatai and Uzbek. It's only viable path of escape appears to be to expand south into the Hindukush and India.
However, out of the 13 provinces it has, Yarkand only has cores on four provinces. In fact, the provinces in the Takla Makan basin don't have any cores whatsoever.
What's more, the actual province of Yarkand itself does not have a core. The province that the country is named after does not possess a core on itself
I'd like to understand the rationale behind this.
