WWW(wedn. 27th april) "THANKS BUT NO TANKS!" Q: Is it a bug or a feature?

Greetings!
I've noticed something on the last WWW that made me check video from 20th april;
it appears that when yugoslavia was "liberated" that no (tank) equipment was acquired...
but when Daniel researched tanks (from console input on april 27.) that almost 70 tanks were "suddenly summoned"!

1. YU defeat - no tanks! --- Time: (39min 19 sec)---

2. Tanks "researched" - 69/100 tanks appear! --- Time: (5min 10 sec)---

I don't know if you are required to have only first tank tech done or every corresponding tech 4 every tank.

So if I lend lease 100 tanks to my allies (which doesn't have tanks researched) ...
those tanks are probably going to be of no use to my ally,....right?!

The another question is if ally has 1941 tank tier tech researched -
will it be permitted to use my tanks from 1943 tank tier tech that I've send him through lend lease?

It might sound like that trolling meme....
but really is this a bug or a feature?

I hope its a bug. I think it is because they once said you could get more advanced weapons from defeating the enemy.

If its not a bug, it should be changed.

not to mention getting lend lease from more advanced in those fields countries. like germany sending its old panzers or 10% of its new production to an ally who doesn't have tanks researched to help prop them up

I don't think there is a bug. He took "3995 equipment" from Yugoslavia, but what equipment is not specified. He thought he had not captured any tanks in the first video posted above, but without the basic tank research (done in the second video) he didn't have an armoured Div template, and couldn't actually use them.

I'm of two minds.
On one hand, you don't need the research required to build tanks when you already have captured the tanks.
On the other hand, just because you capture tanks doesn't mean you have men trained to use them....

I think you should be able to use them. Maybe with a -50% org penalty or something.

He didn't have the division template to make use of those tanks therefore, as long as they actually arrived in the end when he had the tank template it is fine.

i imagine in the case of lend lease you'd be shown how to use them by the country giving them to you, loaning some foreign officers for training purposes.

You should be able to use tanks/equipment, even though you don't have the knowledge to build them/it yourself though.

The research isn't just about nuts and bolts, building tanks. You have to know how to use them effectively in a large group in a battalion. Plus, you need men who can maintain and repair them. And you need to be able to produce the supplies for them.

Look at the Para research. Is that about how to make parachutes (equipment) or how to train/operate paras - transport 1000 men, drop them over enemy territory, operate behind enemy lines with minimal supplies/heavy weapons. Until you do the basic research you don't have a template. Same with Marines.

Or some of the support companies, like MPs, which don't need any special equipment at all, and the research is only about organising units to make effective use of them.

So something like 100 days researching basic armour is representative.

Remember, this only applies to minors who have never fielded tanks in their armies before, and have no experience whatsoever of using armoured Divs. Germany would just be able to use any tanks they come across, even in 1936.

They went back a month or two, because he joined the Axis, but then decided he would attack Germany.

They mentioned that due to updates they had to restart from the beginning a couple of times, its possbile that the new tanks appeared on a different playthrough.

Maybe the Hungarians did not know what the hell those metal boxes were and we said: "those are probably kitchen equipment".
