Personally I would like it the most for you to just play the game. Don't spend an hour paused explaining every single thing about the game, but also don't rush into wars in order to get some action going. Play the game like you would play it without people watching and explain things when they come up by explaining your decisions. Just explain the mechanics as we encounter them, if you do them all at once it's just too much to take in and too little happening.

Update: I will go back to my very slow pace and explain everything. The twitch people might want me to speed up but the great majority here want it much slower so I will keep it slow :)
I appreciate this! ;)

Would it be possible to coup or show a coup somewhere?

I would like to see more details about Air/naval warfare:
  • How could I manage (and give orders) my fighters on CV in order to protect my fleet especially if my fleets move between different strategic air area
  • Idem for detecting and attacking ennemy fleets
  • When there is a naval combat, could I use planes from a naval airbase to get into this combat (like I used to do in HOI3) ? On the other side, if planes from an airbase are involved into a naval bombardement, does a fleet can join them and engage the ennemy fleet together ? If I can't do this, do my planes on CV protect the fleet from such raids ? Is there a risk that my planes on CV could be destroyed this way without having the information when I'll be in front on my screen ? For example 500 planes have the orders to attack fleets in a given strategic area where I have 2 CV with 2*30 planes : my planes are destroyed but my fleet manage to escape and I don't know there are any planes left on my CV for a later encounter with an ennemy fleet.
And more than this, what I expect from the WWW is to see the game and how does it work. I'm not here to see if Japan/Germany... could win the war (that's my job ;)) so keep it in mind during the stream.

Thank you.

There are two minor things I am curious about, and would love to see (very briefly) touched on, since both seem relevant to Japan's war in China:

1. I seem to recall it being mentioned that carrier aircraft can be assigned to land airbases, but they would operate at a penalty. I am wondering what sort of penalty this is. Planes just do less damage? Have less operational range? Have a higher chance of being shot down? i.e. would assigning the surplus carrier CAS and fighters to land bases be a good way to add a tiny bit to the Japanese offensive in china, or is that just an effective way to turn those planes into smoldering wrecks?
2. I don't remember seeing it in the last WWW with Germany (so I apologize if I missed it and this was already shown), but does the occupation UI show at a glance how many "unrest points" (I'm not sure if there is an actual in-game term for this) a region generates? In other words, if your primary police division has X suppression points, and a given region generates Y "unrest", you know you need ceiling(Y/X) police divisions to keep unrest stable / decreasing.

Thank you very much for doing these streams! Loving the WWW sessions so far!

My personal wishes:

Go on a bit of a ahistoric path: Don't attack USA!
Ally with the Axis and take all the UK, French and Dutch Colonies there.
Prepare for the SU Invasion, and help Germany out on the Eastern Front.
Also, if your fully annex China, the World Tension probably rises extremly, maybe try to postpone the peace conference so that Germany has some time to prepare.

This! I really want to know how far I can stray from the historical path in HOI4. In the end it is the core premise of the game: reenact WWII to play "what if..." and see what could have happened if things had turned out differently.

Daniel, please, could you explain me how it works? Or anybody else?
If you assign a plan for ur troops, for exaple to go from let's say berlin to Warsaw and they get all these bonuses from preparing etc. What happens when you launch the plan and then suddenly take 2 divisions from that plan to do different move? Do they lose the preparation bonus immediately AND do they return to their previous plan after they finish the different move/ attack order you have given them during their outgoing battle plan?
Thanks thanks a lot. I am very confused about this certain thing.

@Da9L just in case it gets lost in the thread (I haven't seen anyone else mention it) could you go through ways to search and sort your army etc. What I mean is, is there a ledger style page with sort and filter functions? How can this be used to create unit groupings and generally manage your forces?

I know it's not as glamorous as many of the other suggestions but this is a core function of the UI that many people will surely care about. With a truncated OOB this will be an important feature for keeping armies etc organised!

I would love if you'd create more units (unit templates) with very specialized roles and cool counters (mountaineers, light infantry etc). Also I would love to see you turn Japan into a real naval empire, ie. building lots of Shipyards. I want to see how sandboxy the game is and how many BBs you can pump out per year - and finally: variants. Pimp my Plane! :D

Also, thank you for being super cool and participating on the forums so much, it's really really appreciated.

You'll never get a job with EA like this though..

I would like to see 1 more week of Japan just to see if we can get a naval battle and see how it plays out especially with the use of carriers which we didn't really see in the last multiplayer. BTW thanks much for a really good walk through on how things work. Enjoyed everything I saw.
