this review has so many juicy bits and answers many, many questions I see posted here all the time.

I think it needs attention drawn to it, even if its old or whatever.

http://www.strategy-gaming.com/previews/hearts_of_iron/index.shtml

how juicy and detailed? how bout this.
"each mech/armor unit can also ‘carry’ ¼ of an unmech-/unmotorized infantry division for free. "

The release date quoted made me sad :(

I always thought that a release date set in October was unrealistic. All games are pushed back.

Let's hope 2003 isn't still too early_... ;)

And my idea of getting attack bonuses for attacking in multiple directions is there! Yeah! :D

If the combat is half as good as it sounds in the interview this WILL be the best WWII game EVER!

I posted a summary of this article here some time ago. The summary wasnt that good, and a bit unstructured, but quite informative. For some reason its not in the FAQ thread. I`ll see if I can find it, and post in the thread again so it gets moved to the top.

In the strategy gamer interview it was said that there is only a little bonus for conquering enemy war materials.

IMHO that bonus should be drastically increased.

It´s not so much that, for example, the germans were able to use russian tanks, guns etc. but as long as they were extending the frontlines to the ural, they gained all destroyed material on the former battlefields and were able to use the scrap metal to produce more units and so extended their rough material pool.

when america comes into the war i really think they should replace engand as democracy leader and if history takes a little different course maybe spain or italy can lead the facsists after germanys fall?(if italy decides a radicaly different course of events)
if england stays the prime democracy then anyone playing as the soviets could be in position to exploit that for a quick ww3 possibly?
