Usually, when i type in www.paradoxplaza.com in the web browser, i am usually presented with "Cannot find web page" or some other stupid search service. Sometimes it works and takes me too the site, but it generally always says that it cant be found. is there something dodgy about the adress or site perhaps?

Are you using IE?

Because that happened to me last September, and I've installed Firefox and it went OK. With IE, not even installing it again worked. I had to install the OS again

Does not happen to me unless the site is actually down.
So it must be on your end, make sure you have all the updates and latest versions of Windows and Your browser.

Try adding paradoxplaza to your hosts file. You'll find it under your windows directory or ..\system32\drivers\etc\ depending on what OS you're running. You can open it in notepad but be sure to save it without an extension.

It should look something like this.

Your computer checks the hosts file first - before sending a query to your DNS for the address translation. So if it's an ISP problem it might be worth a shot.

I had this problem with Conan.com once.
I would only get through 1 out of three times I clicked on the link.
Problem just went away.

Just a suggestion from me.
I was like you but because of factors relating to hidden forums, I went through the hassle of switching over sometime ago.

The Paradoxplaza is the official site name now and is the safer bet to log into and use for bookmarks.

I've tried to log onto www.paradoxplaza.com many times, and neither my home PC nor my work one can ever find it. Not even the link from StrategyFirst worked (presumably pointing to this same place). However, a quick Google also found this message forum, which is all that matters to a seasoned player. Still, I hope nobody thinks paradoxplaza.com can be found, at least not with IE, shrug.

That is just a temporary problem.

And we were talking for about the two different domain names the forum it self uses not the company website, which is what you are discussing.

I had that all day yesterday (january 9th). Was the site down, or was it a problem with my computer or my ISP?

Would adding it to my host file like suggested help me out?

Well it often goes down on a sunday afternoon, I think the server knows there is no one there to restart it so it can slack off.

Which equates to Saturday evening/Sunday morning for those of us on the east coast of the U.S. So many times I just want to look up a tip and "aaaarrrrggghhh" site is down again.
