I recency played a couple of games as the non-German Central Powers (Austria-Hungary, Ottomans, Bulgaria). Especially ss Austria-Hungary, pretty much everything went as planned: Serbia and Montenegro defeated in 1914, Russian stopped, Italy defeated ASAP and the support Germany against France and/or Russia.
And then Germany messes it up every time.
I understand that a two-front AI is difficult, but Germany doesn't seem to use one third of its troops, which are stationed too far back or are constantly transferred between the two fronts. From time to time, the Germans leave huge gaps in the Western front and the France just walk in and within a moth take over a third of Germany. I don't have enough troops change that with the Ottomans and Austrian alone. Did anybody else observe that or was that just coincidence?
