Ww2 Trucks

Hello,

after seeing from the streams and dev blogs that the truck icon and type was the same for all nations currently, im planning on making a little mod that will add a historical truck type for the major nations, with a 2d sprite in order to get into modding. However to avoid picking the wrong models, do you guys know which types were most used or would be most appropriate for the major nations if only 1 truck type can be represented?

I am already making a Zis-5 icon for the Soviet Union, is this the right choice for example?

I guess just do some research here n there. For example, a lot of info about what the current Australian Defence Force uses is on Wikipedia. Specific models and numbers and all sorts. Less likely to be quite the same for WW2-era countries, but all the majors have their own equipment lists that are well documented. I cant tell the answers though, sorry. I know few specific equipment models of that era, or what they look like

I wouldn't mind seeing the Canadian Military Pattern truck used for Canada and appropriate allies. 400k were produced and used around the world.

What was the soviet mechanized vehicle, historically? I was thinking that it could be made into the ZIS-42 (half track version of the ZIS-5. It looks very fitting of a mobile, mechanized force).

For now just the Motorised trucks, and only one per major nation. Maybe in the future i might go to Mechanized or others, it will all depend on the time. Maybe even later i might go and make some 3d models aswell, but that will depend on how much time i have.
