Some of this guy's videos are interesting, but I'm not a big fan. The voice changing gives an insecure image of the narrator and I've seen more than one of his videos where he put in myths or blatant lies as historical facts, and actually got called out for it in the comments section.
EDIT: Partly emu'd by cmburns88
Sorry but I don't see pseudo-history without fact checking as a good PR video. Nice idea from Paradox, but in my opinion, they should have gone with a true history teaching channel, like Crash Course or something like, not some dudes who tell stories more then history.
@cmburns88 While Crash Course has made some very interesting videos (I mysef prefer them as well over Extra History), I found their WW2 videos a little poor in quality. The version of WW2 depicted by them was very much the traditional Western Allied view of the war, completely omitting important events such as the Winter War (and I don't say this just because I'm Finnish), with a special focus on mid- and late-war battles that the Western Allies won against Germany at a point in time when it was already clear that Germany had lost the war.
Good docus that I'd recommend:
- How Hitler Lost the War
- The Nordic War: The Battle for Finland's Independence 1939-45
Both can be found on YouTube.
