Chapter 4
Karl had told me everything about the second coming of Islam, how the world had succumbed to massive war and chaos. He also told me how Europe together with the USA had become the bastion of freedom who was constantly under siege by forces of the Islamic caliphate. Asia and south America were invaded to by crazed Muslim fanatics who would happily give there lives for their new prophet and slaughtered all who would not convert and submit.
“What caused this maddens to befall the world?” Otto asked with disgust in his voice.
“An all to common one, assassination.”
“Mohammed al Hamza was killed by a facist rogue, he carried a USA passport.” Karl said somber.
“Where have we heard that one before.” Otto said with a cynic smile.
“Indeed.”
Suddenly Max stood up and began waggling his tail. Otto and Karl looked at the window where they saw doctor Steinbrink motion them to come in. The both entered the room and Max also slipped through their legs, much to the annoyance of Steinbrink. The dog immediately went over to Alexander and received a nice pat over the head.
“Well doctor what can you tell us?” Karl inquired.
“You can see for yourself Herr, apart from the considerable burns he has suffered he is in the best of health. I have no often had the pleasure of tending such a healthy person. His collapse was just pure exhaustion.”
“I see, can we speak to him?” Otto said while trying to gain the initiative in this conversation.
“Of course mein Kaiser, I am really happy to say that word again Herr.” He said with a cordial bow.
“Thank you Herr Steinbrink…. Could you be so kind to leave the room with your assistants, me, Herr Karl and the boy need to have a chat.”
“By all means mein Kaiser.” He said with another cordial bow.
Steinbrink and his assistants left the room and shut the door. Karl and Otto walked over to the bed where Alexander was still petting Max. Only when they where directly next to his bed did he confirm the 2’s presence.
“I have been briefed about your…predicament in the future Alexander, but I am puzzled why did you come here?”
Only now did Otto notice that live had somewhat returned to the Boy’s green eyes. These eye’s possess a friendliness Otto did not notice at first. Also a nice smile had appeared on the Alexanders face.
“Forgive me that all this information had to come so sudden Herr Kaiser, but we could only send me because of Caliphate incursion.” A brief flicker of fear was visible in the boy’s eyes at the mention of the caliphate.
“But you probably want all this information now so I will not keep you waiting.”
“To put it simply, I am here to make sure the Austrian Empire rises again, the survival of Future Europe depends on it.”
O dear how is a former defunct state going to save future Europe?
