I say we let the Peve get one more game under his belt here before he GMs. And Kriszo's game are behind only Johho's for quality of GM'ship and general enjoyability.
Depending on what Kriszo is going to run, I'll pull out for now. It'd suit me a tiny bit better if I was delayed a bit anyway.

Successfully GMing a game is as much about knowing the players in the game as it is knowing the working of the game itself. I would argue that knowing the players is more important than knowing the game itself.
I'm not saying he is inexperienced, I'm saying he doesn't know the players. I could be wrong, but I don't think I am.
I agree. Non innovating games are better if they fit the playstyle of the group. However, any of the options I've got floating around will be new for you guys, so I'm happy for it to wait a bit.

I actually have an interesting idea for a theme... I'll pitch it today or tomorrow, but I'm happy to wait until after pever.

Hehehe, no... Swords and sorcery. Necromancy, cultists... I'm considering a very different baddy setup and victory conditions, as well.
Also, Pyotr Kamarov's actual, canon title is Lord of Saints or Archangel. I adjusted and dumbed down a LOT of stuff that makes no sense without knowledge of the prologues... Which made the story far too cliche and humiliating. Maybe when I write and publish the novels, I'll run another God Amongst the Ashes
successful GMing is having solid rules and doing your job properly (getting actions processed properly, meeting you deadlines, etc.). the identities of the players are completely unimportant.
